Funny thing I picked up on a twitter feed....apparently one of the Disney crazies posted a question over on the DISboards:

"Where can I conceive a child in the Magic Kingdom without getting caught?"

Sadly the thread disappeared before I could view it.

Of course this would be followed up with a "Help me Find a Disney Name for My Secretly-Conceived-Disney Child".

Wouldn't u like to see 2 or 3 new rides instead of a slow boat ride! I don't know anyone who would pick the boat over several new attractions!
Once again...there is no earthly reason to get rid of an attraction to put new ones in. 43 square miles should not require any need to clear space. Use some of that 43 square miles. Get rid of an Executive parking lot and put in some new attraction. They can expand the perimeter whenever they want.

I guess you would out the people mover attraction also since its slow moving. A park like MK does need slowing moving attractions. The way you make it sound, you don't like slow moving attractions. Disney theme parks aren't all about fast moving attractions and if you want fast moving attractions so much, go to a theme park that specializes in fast moving attractions.

Taking out a classic attraction isn't a good idea. Remember Disneyland still have their own boat ride, but there is deeper problem with your thinking 2 or 3 attraction getting added where ROA is currently.

The fact is Disney would use the ROA area for a table service/counter service and 1 ride only. That means you are replacing one ride with another only. All rumors of ROA on this site in the past has involved a ride and a table service or counter service restaurant. That means the ROA getting replaced don't mean your gaining additional attractions unlike what your claiming.

The 2nd thing is Tomorrowland is where MK needs be fixed bad. Remember there was a Tron coaster rumor for Tomorrowland in 2011 or 2012 on this site. There are multiple attractions at Tomorrowland that needs to be replaced.

Disney can use their parking lots for expansions at WDW if they really need to also. That means Disney can build building structures if they really need to for parking.

That "slow boat ride" is, as far as I'm concerned, one of a very few rides which the MK couldn't survive without. It's crucial to the spirit of the place. I tend not to go to Tom Sawyer Island very often (Mark Twain lived in my hometown and I've had enough Twain to last a lifetime) but the steamboat is a crucial break in the day for me. It doesn't move too fast, but it's quiet, calm...there's no screaming, and no rush to be anywhere. It's just damn pleasant.

Because who actually goes on ROA and rides the boat? Didnt i just ride a boat to get to the park in the first place? I don't know anyone that Goes on it. That is tons of wasted space that could be used for several rides in a new land or sub land!
If they intend to keep it, then it needs to be more interactive. Give the kids rifles and pistols so they can shoot the animals, Indians and pirates they see along the way. Have a target set up under the Indian burial scaffold so that when hit with a firearms shot, it ignites the body in a blaze of flames.

Never said I didn't like slow moving rides, just that its a waste of space and dull. Yes it is classic, but its prime real estate for something else that could go there. And yes I do agree tomorrow land needs a refurb, get rid of stitch and laugh floor and build 2 new attractions in their place! I'll probably get more flack for this, but tomorrow land speedway could go as well and a nice attraction can go in its place as well. There's plenty of room over there! And I do like the people mover!

...still waiting to hear something... Anything... Out of Disney that will make me want to jump through the hoops to make a visit. I don't goto Disney out of an obligation to go on some regular schedule.

While I like the place... It really lacks the umps to make it seem worth the investment. Still desperately waiting for Disney to inspire me...

Agreed, the entire ambiance of that part of the park would be lost without ROA and the paddle boat. Regardless of how much they improve the parks or don't, they need to keep the beauty in place. Why, it would be like making Cinderella Castle look like a birthday cake! Just kidding...I liked it when it was like that. :) That was, however, for a brief period of time...draining the ROA is permanent, never to return. :(

Question: is it too early to suggest that potential public backlash against MM+/NGE (the bad parts) could reach similar levels to what we've seen wih Microsoft's Xbox One, or as they say on NeoGAF "Xbone"? Microsoft PR has been very misleading and only this week attempted to explain how things like constant Internet connectivity, used games, or giving games to friends/playing at friend's houses works. MyMagic + in many ways raises similar questions regarding issues like being forced to plan every detail in advance and stratification of the guest experience in the parks to basic security issues like getting another family's info on the app.
