There's always a weird, dark corner of just about any fan community. As the Internet has grown, it's become a lot easier to find yourself accidentally stumbling into those corners. It's weird, it's unfortunate. I'd rather pretend they didn't exist.

Now let's get back to DHS or Disneyland's Tomorrowland or DCA or hamburgers or something. I don't want to be the one explaining to Spirit why the topic is pony erotica when he gets back.

In all the excitment earlier I forgot to ask, Do any of the proposals that Bob Iger showed the BOD feature plans for a My Little Pony acquisition? I know there are still (closed minded) people who roll their eyes whenever My little pony fans talk but it's a very serious counter culture movement on the internet and could be a big revenue stream for Disney. Instead of wasting money on Star Wars and Monsters Inc. it would be more financially prudent to invest in a My Little Pony land where bronies can interact with their favorite ponies and ride all kinds of amazing rides in magic land.

Why buy the property when you can shamelessly rip it off? Bronies aside (what hath you wrought, 4chan?), I think MLP was probably a viable option for a theme park ride somewhere. But it's easier and more profitable to just sell merch featuring My Little Princess Ponies. Sort of like back in the day the various Disney hero (not) Transformers that stuck around Property Control for years.

[As an aside, I heard years ago that the toy industry is absolutely vicious when it comes to ripping off each others' intellectual property--this new Disney toy line seems to prove that, just like the Bratz rip-off of Monster High I saw over the weekend shopping for my friend's daughter.]

You are joking, right?

That's because the Toy Industry understands that the people who actually buy the toys...don't know the difference!

But, the kids do! You can't tell me you never got a "knock off" present from someone as a kid...and felt a bit upset.

"I didn't want 'action force' figures, I wanted GI Joe! I didn't want 'Go-Bots', I wanted Transformers!"

Kids certainly know...

I will say this...as a Daddy who sat through the entire first two seasons at his kids bequest...

The show is pretty darned fun! I haven't watched season 3 yet (I'm sure this will be rectified soon by my kiddo), but the first 2 seasons were great!

Is that a joke? Satire of some sort?
If not, it certainly offers a great look at an apparently mentally challenged young fellow, in the throes of his affliction.
Poor kid....

I usually come out on the side of people who take their hobbies and oddities and put it out on YouTube with their name on it. They are projecting who they are out onto the world and standing by it. I respect that.

But that poor soul need help. Serious help. More extreme than some of the Disney fan community examples help. Real help.

Like seriously, there's this movie on Netflix called "I Think We're Alone Now." This is as creepy and heartbreaking as that.

Returning back to Earth, My major question is if they are indeed not announcing anything which Miceage seems to now accept as fact, When will we actually have concrete info or is it going to be further back and forth for the next year or so.

It's his own fault, he keeps bringing it up.
He lights a fire just to watch it burn...

Let's get back on track. Lee when do you think we will get an official announcement on what's next for DL/WDW particularly SW land? When Snow White Mine carts opens?

Again, I've met some nice people who consider themselves bronies. Pretty normal too - they just have a show they love and they like talking about it.

But then again...I once came across a website called "Equestria Daily". And it has Pony fanfiction on it. And a large percentage of the fanfiction concerns the female pony characters from the show gettin' it on. With each other. It's considered a legit form of fanfiction or fan activity or something. Sick. So...yeah, while I appreciate the quality of the show - at least the episodes I've seen - a brony I'm not. You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas...

Just returned from seeing The Lone Ranger...........liked it a lot!

On a side note tried the 7:30 show at two separate theaters (15 minutes apart by car) to find them both sold out. (4 screens)

Perhaps this movie is a spirit walker!

Well, they are gonna need to get the budgets set for fiscal 2014 pretty soon. The scope of the projects should begin to clear up in the near feature.

Announcements? Your guess is as good as mine. Personally, I'm still thinking something gets announced at D23. That's just a hunch, not based on any info I have.

FY2014 starts October 1, right? Didn't Disney used to make major announcements on that day, at least theme park related ones? Could they be going back to that schedule?

Maybe some positive word of mouth will give it a little boost this week. It deserves it.

Would SW and the DHS projects even start construction in 2014 or early 2015?

I'm glad they are finally addressing the problems with the GAC, since it was broadcast on the TV special. I think it would be great for 20/20 to do a special on the declining state of WDW. Then maybe they would start paying attention to that also.
