Changing subjects just a bit if I may. I was a Disney forum FNG (!@$#ing New Guy) when the plans for FLE were leaked and don't really remember time frames. What is the level of security/chatter/leaking at this point than before that D23? I know there wasn't any before the last expo because they weren't announcing anything. It seems certain that there will be a significant announcement or several this time unless they want the peasants with pitchforks storming the stage.

I honestly dont think TWDC gives a rats about the peasants.

However... to address the question - I really dont know. However, Disney Springs leaked about a week or two before that was offically announced.

And as much as I appreciate Arrested Development (fourth season rates a good-not-great IMO), I'm just impressed that you took a leak next to Hank from Larry Sanders.

Hey now!

I love Hey Now, and the fact that it still lives on daily via The Howard Stern Show.

Sorry for the derailment...

I wonder how many different rumors we'll hear about WDW announcements between now and D23, or if any concept art will be leaked a la New Fantasyland prior to the event. I have to assume the rumor chatter will ramp up as we get closer to D23.

Understandable. MM is a slooow burn. I watched the first season while I was convalescing. Not sure I would've stuck with it if I hadn't been stuck in bed.

It's true. I watched the first three or four episodes of Mad Men and lost track of it for a while. I thought they were well done, but they didn't hook me. Later I caught up on Netflix and I'm glad I did. It is fantastic. Yes, this season has been off. But even an off season of MM is better than 99.9% of what is on basic cable. See also Breaking Bad.

On the other hand, The Walking Dead is easily accessible and has great production values. But I wouldn't be surprised to discover that it was written by monkeys. Not trained monkeys. Just monkeys clanking on a keyboard in between bouts of throwing poo. They will sneak a barely competent episode in there a couple times a season. But more often than not, the writing is offensively bad.

I love AD. I would be it's wingman even if it meant taking a chubby. And it was great to get new episodes. I agree they weren't AD at its best. But they were still pretty great. Unfortunately with episodes running around 30 minutes (instead of the usual 22) there were some pacing issues. And it surely didn't help that they couldn't assemble the whole cast for more than one scene. Even so, lots to love.

Now I am off to the Method One Clinic for acting lessons. Huzzah!

Breaking Bad is the best show on television. I can't wait for it to start again!

Totally agree here. It took me a loooong time to get into Mad Men, and for a while I would have agreed that it was the most overrated show on TV. I still think it's a bit overrated, but I do really like it.

As for Mad Men v. The Walking Dead, the best comparison I can think of (that isn't even totally on-point) is probably films by P.T. Anderson v. Michael Bay (not quite to those extremes). Bay is accessible and his films are fun, but definitely feel as if they were written by monkeys. Not even competent ones--highly intoxicated ones. By contrast, you might walk away from a P.T. Anderson film saying, "that was it?," but the thing sticks with you, and three days later, you're starting to realize how brilliant it was, and you're ready to watch it again. I love The Walking Dead and I'm not at all a Michael Bay fan, so like I said, the comparison isn't quite completely there. But you get the idea.

The first few episodes of AD Season 4 were disappointing, but I think they righted the ship as the season progressed, and I'm ready to watch it again. I wish there were a commentary track on Netflix, because there were a few obscure references I caught (like to the less-popular Hitchcock film Suspicion), which means there were probably a ton more that I missed. I think it'll fare better on repeat viewings, too.

I hope AD gets additional Netflix seasons instead of a movie, and I hope they're able to assemble the entire cast at the same time for filming. I think that really held the show back, although they did manage to work around it pretty well.

Walking Dead started boring the crap out of me in Season 2. Do yourself a favor and pick up the graphic novel, its fantastic. Also the book version of World War Z & skip the movie....

Also highly recommend House of Cards on Netflix..... and Game of Thrones (entirely NSFW because its awesome).

Mad Men was good in the first 2 seasons.... I'm not even watching it anymore.

You spelt "Game of Thrones" wrong. ;)

Game of Thrones is pretty great. But it's not quite fair comparing HBO to basic cable.

You might get more from the early episodes of AD Season 4 on second viewing. As always, the show rewards repeat viewing. Although this time, the reward is more seeing how the puzzle pieces fit together rather than laughs. Like realizing that the character Michael passed in the hall in episode one was actually Character X in a wig and not just a random passerby. That kind of stuff.

I won't go so far as to call them disappointing because they met my expectations. (I intentionally kept my expectations in check.) I did laugh a lot during them even if they were not prime AD. Still beat the heck out of Two and a Half Men or The Big Bang Theory.

I would prefer more episodes over a movie. But I'll take what I can get.

QFT.

I found Breaking Bad to be so depressing and dark, I had to put on the second season of The Wire.

Agreed. I really like House of Cards- its easily the best thing on Netflix right now.

And you can't go wrong with Game of Thrones but seriously, that was the season finale? Really? SIGH. I wish they'd do two seasons a year. And I sincerely hope next season is better than this last one... it just seemed so... medicore? Drawn out? Nine of the ten episodes lacked a solid gut punch. And its obvious which was the highlight of the season...

Wait are we supposed to be talking about Disney movies? Or, Disney something?

...Can Disney put a Game of Thrones Land in? Granted, no one would get out alive...

The point being, Walt had plenty of money.

If anyone in this world has ever made a lot of money, I am glad it was Walt Disney. I don't begrudge him a penny of what he earned over the years. Look, he had some money in the bank at times, at other times not. And he traveled the world. And he had his own park to play in. And a train at home too. But he took a large part of what he had and reinvested it into his company and his dreams. And all of us on here have benefited from that. He didn't collect cars like Jay Leno, or whatever Bob Iger collects (gold-plated gold?, I have no idea) so Walt's dreams in many ways became our dreams, at least for a week at a time on vacation, and I think that is just fantastic. I only wish he had lived to develop EPCOT. But what he left behind for us is still awesome.

But the character cross-over merchandise posibilities are endless!
