We need you to feed us some juicy info to get this thread back on track! What other secrets reside in the dark recesses of the spirit's mind??? Please share! ;)
I want the info. But I think we all agree that we don't want to be in 74's brain that would be scary

Easy now...some things the world just isn't ready to handle. (Truth about UFOs, JFK Asassination, Loch Ness, Bigfoot, the secrets in the dark corners of the Spirit's mind...)

UGH!!!! You step away to the real world and your thread detours into a Walt bashfest???!!

Really.
No one was bashing Walt. It was a very factual discussion of how Walt conducted his business practices. Facts are stubborn things. You can't change history. I would think that you would be very supportive of such a discussion considering your knowledge of the Disney spin machine.

Your eloquent and accurate descriptions of how Disney tends to pull the wool over customers eyes at WDW gives us some insight as to how the Disney public relations cabal works.

You have helped many of us to understand how Disney manipulates its customer base. I think we all know that TWDC has for years covered up Walt's indiscretions and put forth a picture of Walt that makes him appear to be much better than he actually was in real life.

Nothing really wrong with that except I think most of us would rather know both the good and the not so good. I still think the guy was a genius even with all his faults!

I found the topic interesting. I always wonder how the stockholdings went as we all know Disney lost (or never had) controlling interest. Before the Internet, many thought Walt always owed the company, heck many thought he was still alive in 1995. The Internet has changed that myth.

I think I read somewhere on the internet that they froze his head or something so he may come back again some day...

I have tried to watch Mad Men ... to see what others see in it ... to be transported back to the world of an ad agency in the wild 1960s. I have tried about five or six hours worth. And while the show has the look down, much like ABC's Pan Am last year, it doesn't connect with me on any level. The characters bore me to tears and don't make me care.

I do know that even big fans and writers who cover the business and have loved the show before have said that this year is the worst. I wouldn't know.

But if I talk to Matt again this fall, which is likely, I'll still say something nice.

In honor of Arrested Development's return and your post, I'll simply state that once I stood at urinal at Spago next to Jeffrey Tambor.

Understandable. MM is a slooow burn. I watched the first season while I was convalescing. Not sure I would've stuck with it if I hadn't been stuck in bed.

And as much as I appreciate Arrested Development (fourth season rates a good-not-great IMO), I'm just impressed that you took a leak next to Hank from Larry Sanders.

Hey now!
