Last nights episode of South Park was pretty funny and I did sometimes think MDE a bit, but nothing compares to the scooter episode! I am so glad they had the balls to do that...
Wow, you folks take this stuff way too personally. Not sure when haters became an insult. Just a difference of opinion. Let it ride.
There's a difference between taking a comment personally and pointing out it's juvenile and adds nothing to the conversation the grown-ups are having.
I disregarded nothing, you apparently didn't even read the source yourself if you think there's nothing insulting about the way it was used here (and is often used around the net). Here's a popular definition of the word hater as taken from that source-
Point i'm trying to make (and I could be wrong but I get the feeling this is how it came across to other people here)- The response calling people haters felt less like an "i'm disagreeing but have no argument", and more of a "lol, u mad bro?" type of response..
You're getting your panties in a bunch over the simple use.. which is the first freaking paragraph on your page
"Haters Gonna Hate is a catchphrase used to indicate a disregard for hostile remarks addressed towards the speaker"
She was just being dismissive. Then you try to elevate the phrase to some monster... claiming "it was invented as an internet meme to be antagonistic in nature since it first started being used. It is a phrase often used to accuse someone else of being jealous, in a show-offish and trolling kind of way"
It wasn't invented to be antagonistic... but as your own cite says.. to simply blow off or disregard the criticism. Nor are people using it trying to show-offs or trolling. Nor was it a meme first (or used as a meme here..). You took offense because you looked at yourself as being on the other side of tissandtully's comments.. so you considered yourself being grouped as a 'hater' and took offense.
It was nothing more than being dismissive vs not wanting to dive into a point by point.
Lighten up Francis... (you can look that one up too)
Heh heh, nice quote. Does that make you the Big Toe, Sergeant Hulka?Lighten up Francis... (you can look that one up too)
There were no hostile remarks addressed to the speaker. There were no hostile remarks, period. You're getting your panties in a bunch over the simple use.. which is the first freaking paragraph on your page

All we needed to hear about your true intentions (though I can't figure why it wasn't already blatantly obvious to some). Admitting to "enjoying watching people squirm" as you put it paints a supremely crystal clear picture of your character and intentions for everyone here to see. It reveals in an even more obvious manner that you did indeed post that comment in order to get a rise out of people and admit to enjoying the ensuing drama. Any other way your comment could have been taken went flying out the window with that admission.Wow, you guys, simmer down. Three words got all this response? We really need more WDW news, haha. I don't feel like I need to say anything else, just having fun watching all you folks squirm when you take my comments the wrong way.
Well said. Anyone who doesn't realize calling someone a hater is an insult can't have experienced it being used often. It's almost never a word or phrase used in friendly and respectful context in regards to arguments. It's actually quite similar to the also often troll-like response to a disagreement- "u mad bro?". Almost always used to pointlessly mock the recipient without adding any decent rebuttal. There were no hostile remarks addressed to the speaker. There were no hostile remarks, period.
She wasn't just being dismissive. She was being deliberately, overtly and conspicuously ("show-off") dismissive.
There is no way that calling someone a "hater" is not an insult, which is, in fact, antagonistic.
I don't actually care that much. I take it for what it is worth, lol. But lets not pretend it wasn't what it was. Over? Done with? Absolutely.
Agreed, used ours for our trip this past weekend and it was great. Haters gonna hate.
Well i'd love to live in a world where we were arguing in this topic over which WDW theme park is the most epically awesome. Can't have everything sadly...Aw c'mon guys.
Is this really the best thing we can argue about right now?

That, again, didn't take anything from the rehab and investment and building funds. Completely separate pile of allocated money. If they never would have thought of Magic Bands they still wouldn't have been building anything, because that isn't were they are at for the moment. I think they are waiting it out. See how much power Uni has in the tank and what they are designing and what is popular. Then, at some point down the road, will expand again after Uni has blown all their development money. Time will tell, but I really think that is, at least, part of what is going on.Now I see where all this came from.....
Make no mistake. I'm. Not in live with the concept at all. Mine just works.
I still have plenty of reason to dislike this program mainly because he drew serious money away from rehabilitations and investments and building and growing the audience further. Monies slated for other projects were put on hold or canceled because we had to get a sweaty wristband.
At least it works… Some of the time.
