I hope you watched the video I posted, its exactly what you are talking about! I think even stranger was that no one said anything to her, jut stared at her like she was insane (which she is...LOL)

That video and then the South Park scooters in Disney parody video are my 2 favorite examples of this disgusting behavior going on! Too Funny...

No, i missed that; I was at the Villans party.

Edit: Holy crap, thats hillarious.

It will work in DCA and be done very well. The whole area is going to be alive unlike the way it is presently mostly a dead corner (why Mad T is there).
I personally like this, as it is something other than what the area currently is. Add in that we go to that corner for Mike And Sully To The Rescue on every visit, but haven't been to Muppets since DCA opened. Food & Wine used the old Hollywood And Dine building, and the other only reason to go back there, beside having my cigarette break.

Nothing much. Flynn coming out the closet and revealing himself a sociologist, Bolna and nytimez and Pacman trashtalking you behind your back, Sue posting pics of herself topless on a French beach, Lee hurridly breaking the news that Monsters has been greenlit for DCA, Lazyboy outed as alt account of EPCOT Explorer.

Pretty sure Blueskydisney announced Monsters at DCA years ago. Sorry Lee.

I knew EE was back. Just was not sure in what form. :geek:

Planes is going go make well over $100 million globally. It barely cost anything to make and they in no way came close to spending $40 million on marketing. Add merchandise and this thing is printing money.

Always promoting the Iger regime. Obviously you have been assimilated. Or maybe just sold out. All those cutbacks must be hitting close to home.

OK, I give up ...anyone want to summarize pages 438-456? Do not have the time or desire to attempt a catchup.

Even you can't control your own creation. Heh. I mean it is not like you are busy or anything. :bored:

I have something to add to that... MONORAIL FOOTERS!

I'm out of my hibernation and I have a new opinion (if any one cares).

I've often said that Disney needs to leverage their assets to get a better Marvel deal. I know others here have told me this, but I just now "got it"...

Disney makes money every time anyone visits WDW or USO! So, that Marvel deal actually is pretty sweet for Disney!

HOWEVER, it is ANTI-COMPETITIVE and, while it benefits Disney, it does NOT benefit the consumer, especially Disney customers!

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Federal Trade Commission launch an anti-trust investigation into anti-competitive practices of Walt Disney Enterprises enabled by the agreement the company had grandfathered into between its Marvel subsidiary and USO, it's biggest Central Florida "competitor".

Such an arrangement between rival competitors enables one company (WDE) to benefit without competition, since that company will benefit regardless of resort consumers choose on visiting. Under the United States anti-trust legal framework, the government has the power - as well as an obligation - to forcably nullify and invalidate the Marvel-USO deal!

You know how difficult an anti-trust case is right? Companies like CVS own one of the biggest insurance companies and force the members to go to CVS pharmacy. The fact that still exists without governmental interference shows that the government could give a damn about a minuscule (in the grand scheme) agreement between two entertainment companies.

Well, it was a poorly realized theme and I think the locals rejected it. If I still had a bare parking lot I would not have built a second gate in Anaheim but one must adapt to the circumstances
The locals rejected poorly created crap built on puns. Nobody has tried a genuine, heartfelt tribute to California. Six Flags did not find their initial success in roller coasters.

TWDC could literally buy the Universal theme parks and Sea World and still not face an anti-trust issue. Not suggesting it would be a good idea, but wouldn't be illegal either.

You obviously missed the joke while rushing to discredit something I didn't even say...

Also, Blueskydisney announced a Monsters ride in DCA that isn't "Mike and Sully to the Rescue"?
You sure?
Link?

I thought this was a requirement around here.

Also, Blueskydisney announced a Monsters ride in DCA that isn't "Mike and Sully to the Rescue"?

He just said the franchise was slated for that area as a possible future add to replace muppets. Don't remember specifics. But it was years ago when discussing DCA 3.0.

Oh dear sweet Jesus. I can't tell you how many times these people and I'm ECV think that they can get through a crowd of 30 to 40,000 people and adults is part the Red Sea like Moses.

Baloney. And I say baloney because Steve already yelled at me for my language once today.

I understand some people are on a scooter because they have to like the woman I met today with a traumatic brain injury. However she's not trying to go down Hollywood Boulevard right after the fireworks when there's 30,000 people around her.

You cannot drive a vehicle thru a largely populated area like that. It is densely populated and if you are in a vehicle even if it is a medical device you need to wait your happy .

At least the Scooter Store was busted, lost it's Federal Funding and was forced to close it's doors. It was the largest distributors of those damned dirty ECV's.

20 pages ...no, no, no no ....no

But I guess that Potter Phase III talk I mentioned MONTHS AGO sure just got a boost this week.

Oh, and a major Disney project looks like it just got the green light, but it isn't for WDW.
What could they possibly build in Potter Phase III? I'm stumped on any ideas on what they could build

I ask that same question every time Disney announces a new attraction for the DLR. They always seem to make it fit, like Drisella's foot in Cinderella.

Rumor has it Monstropolis would go where the Muppets/Mad T Party/pointless "soundstages" area is. I don't know how that would work. I didn't know how Cars Land would work either, but it did. Eh... I don't know. I do know that it shouldn't be going into the park at all.

I said this in another thread but DCA should really stand for A Disney park, located in California, where you go on Adventures. It is a flex park for things that don't fit in Disneyland.

Monstropolis is not a perfect fit, but DLR's problem of finding a place to put all their new stuff is better than WDW's problem of not having enough new stuff.

I quite literally grew up with Disney during the Eisner expansions.
Pushed by Sid Bass (whose family owned close to 20% of Disney stock at the time), Eisner viewed WDW as underdeveloped real estate with incredible potential. Consequently, WDW went through a building boom from the mid-1980s until the late 1990s. Understandably, many view this as WDW’s Golden Era.

However, let's not forget what else Eisner gave WDW:
  • Skyrocketing ticket and food prices.
  • 2 half-finished theme parks (DHS & DAK) that even today many complain aren't full-day parks despite numerous additions.
  • Thousands of acres of sold off property, including Celebration.
  • An obsession with quick-money schemes such as Disney Vacation Club.
  • A willingness to cut maintenance and quality to the bone in order to boost immediate earnings, resulting in long-term structural issues.
Although I appreciate Eisner awakening Disney from its slumber, Eisner also morphed the company into something representative of what's so wrong with corporate America today.

7 books and 20+ hours of movies. There is still plenty of material. Off the top of my head, the flying car has a lot of potential as a stand alone ride. How about escape from Azkaban? A dark ride where you help Sirius escape the dementors. A whole dark forest area would be cool too. Giant spiders, unicorns and other mythical creatures from the movie.
