Two reasons: 1 - has a high OHRC and eats people. 2 - No motion sickness concerns or height restrictions. Everyone can ride.

I think Omnimover rides really embody the "everyone in the family can enjoy it together" concept that Walt Disney championed for his theme park. They can be ridden by everyone, even those with poor thrill ride tolerance and can be engaging for different age groups. The problem with thrill rides is that many guests cannot ride them due to height restrictions or intolerance.

I think they could incorporate both. Possibly a short omnimover that drops you off inside the show building where the queue for the thrill ride is. For those who can't ride the thrill ride you could still take the omnimover to the lobby and exit from there. More likely to be a walk through than an omnimover, but one can dream big right?

If they go "galaxy" it better be more than just a restaurant, meet n greet and 1 additional ride. That basically qualifies as a land. Galaxy implies multiple experiences to me.

Well, I think "Galaxy" works better if they have multiple worlds represented -- like Tantooine, Endor, Coruscant, Hoth, Naboo, whatever.

In terms of scope, I'm hoping that any Star Wars expansion is larger than just 1 ride and some peripheral stuff. I think a minimum build would be something like an E-ticket (speeder bike coaster), family friendly ride (like an X-wing ride using the "Twister" technology), a show (indoor Jedi Academy) and a Millenium Falcon walk through. Plus merch/food of course. That's what I think should be around the minimum they should do and another few rides on top of that would of course be appreciated in DHS, which needs them.

My problem with a Star Wars dark ride would be that I wouldn't want it to be just a disjointed collection of scenes. Ride through Hoth...then somehow transition to Dagobah...then find yourself on Bespin...wind up on Coruscant...and...gift shop.

Unless they could make it a long ride through one location, and keep it interesting...I'll pass. Give me a thrill ride.

Odds are...no Star Wars omnimover will ever appear.

They could technically do a Star Wars Omnimover ride through a Droid Factory trying to flesh out said Galaxy with a huge make-a-droid shop component at the end. But nah Disney would never do that.

Well I would assume if they did a dark ride it would be through one location. Like somebody said through the droid factory at Geonosis or through Endor's forest (There are actually more creatures on Endor than what we saw in ROTJ if you watch the Ewok films). Problem is I don't think WDI is able to do something like that anymore. There is zero originality they just make cliff notes versions of movies now.

I think you could have different worlds as long as there is a coherent story. Special effects could simulate going into light speed on the Millenium Falcon.

I was thinking a Land Speeder on Tatooine, see the moisture farms, encounter the Hutts, maybe witness someone being dropped into the Great Pit of Carkoon, Encounter a tribe of Tusken Raiders or Jawas, maybe enter and ride through a Jawa ship, ride through Mos Eisley, maybe ride right into the Cantina....that could be very interesting and eventful. I agree with @Lee though...stick with one environment to help with the immersion. It doesn't even have to have a story other than "you're touring Tatooine"

I'd enjoy a Star Wars dark ride. I'd enjoy the thrill ride a whole lot more.

But, I'm not crazy about the rumored speeder bike ride based on Jedi. Last thing I want is a ride through the forests of Northern California. I can do that in my car. And given how crazy some of the roads are, I bet it's more thrilling in my car... at least the way I drive, anyway.

Give me pod racing, or an X-wing fighter ride. And not so heavy on the video screens.

I'm not either. Whether it is in DL as a peoplemover replacement or in WDW as the main E-ticket in the expansion, to have so much emphasis on speeder bikes from Jedi seems silly. At least with the plethora of other things they could go with.

I guess they are leaving the most memorable, or climactic aspects of the movies as film edits on Star Tours and calling it good.

I'm really looking forward to
