I'm slightly skeptical...there were plans originally I know to have a new parade but I thought it got axed? Forget which thread it was in. But if this turns out to be true (entirely possible), that's great news.
Spectromagic hasn't been touched.. It's still sitting in the storage barn by central shops.. Saw it this morning with my own two eyes..
Meanwhile.. It'll be completely evident when they start working on Spectro.. they are going to have to move a lot of stuff out of the way inside the main shop to get some of the units in there.. They are currently putting the finishing touches on mermaid ride vehicles in the rear of that area.

Will we/do we have to wait until the mine coaster is done?It's possible that a new day parade will roll out when FLE is completed.

Not all of Spectro is back there by dry dock, there are already a few units in parade base.

I would have much rather they come out with an entirely new parade. However, if they manage to put together a completely new day parade ... I'll let Spectro slide. Ironically, even though I was a kid for most of Spectro's run, it's MSEP that gives me the fondest memories. I always considered Spectro to be some sort of knock off of it. I like the music a lot better, though Spectro's is catchy. But alas, familiar change is good these days.
I hope whatever the new "celebration" is does not shove memories in my face, or shove anything in my face for that matter.

We'll be there in August and whatever parade we get we'll be more than happy to see. Just being in Disney makes it a great experience.

I'll be happy for the change if it happens, only because it is a change. If I have to pick only one to see, I pick MSEP. But if Spectro comes back, I'll just hope that MSEP gets refurbed and used elsewhere.
And you should never trust anybody, not even Lee or Martin, 110%. I have found that it is impossible to be 110% correct.

i bet the MSEP floats (w/ the exception of Pleasure Island, Dwarf Mine & Tink floats) haven't had a good refurb since the Anaheim Version was loaned out to Florida the first time back in '99 as iirc WDW spent at least a year prior rehabbing all the floats that were in it that time

you are probably right and I remember Spectro getting a pretty thorough once over prior to coming back in 2001. You know if the rumor is true that TDA doesnt want ELP back anytime soon due to crowd issues than we should re-purpose the Tink float for Spectro. It would fit cohesively with the Sleeping Beauties Garden segment and by switching out Flaura, Fauna, and Merriwhether for the other Pixie Hollow friends would instantly update the parade for relatively cheap.

I swear, if this means Soundsational IS IN FACT coming to the Magic Kingdom, them I'm gonna scream at the top of my lungs....
I said this in a thread some months back, Why would DL give up Soundsational?? If only opened in 2011!! If MK is "Making" their Soundsational, I have no problem with that. I don't have a problem with DL's, I just wouldn't think they would give it up that quick

Don't know anything about Soundsational, perhaps it's a good thing. All is know is that MSEP rocks and the music for SpectroMagic is PLODDINGLY Magestic. It's a waltz! Listen to it. No question Spectro has impressive floats. MSEP has good floats. To me, it's the music that makest he choice clear! MSEP forever!
