Spaceship earths british accent.

In december I was riding spaceship earth and wore soundproof earbuds listening to spaceship earth 94 comparing the narrators to see if there was really a big loss with the new voice. I came to realize and this is my own opinion... I cant see Spaceship Earth without a speaker with an english accent. To me it just fits the atmosphere of the attraction. Was that a quincidence or is the accent a long lived spaceship earth trait?

And by "that British accent" do you mean Jeremy Irons' British accent, or that of Dame Judy Dench?

Even though Jeremy Irons is English, I've always noticed he seemed to use a very neutral accent for the Spaceship Earth narration. I think Judi Dench is hiding some of her accent too. Disney probably needs a more generic sound for increased clarity.

I tried LOL. I never get it right the first time.

I was listening to the Cronkite version and something just didn't seem right. I notice the british accent is more memorable.

I prefered Jeremy Irons and to be honest, the first time I heard Judi Dench's voice, I really didn't like it. But it's grown on me. You need someone with a very imposing voice. I'm slightly surprised they didn't get Anthony Hopkins - they should have had Samuel L. Jackson. Imagine how classic that would've been.:ROFLOL:

There's something about Judi Dench's voice that makes me feel as though she is waiting for me at the end of the ride with a ruler, ready to whack me across the knuckles for not paying attention during her lecture.

Iron's just had that voice, much like Anthony Hopkins, were storyteller-ish like you're actually being taken on a grand journey - not getting a lecture about going rogue from MI5 or MI6 or whatever!:hammer:
