E.g. James Earl Jones Vs. Anthony Hopkins

*James E Jones
*Antony Hopkins
*Walter Cronkite
*Guy from Boy Meets World
*Patrick Stewart
*Sean Connery

what about Michael J Fox?

My choices for Spaceship Earth narrators would be:

Tom Brokaw
Katie Couric - I would ride Spaceship Earth night and day if she narrated! :)
Michael Buffer - Are you ready to rumble? "Please watch your step on the moving platform."
Natalie Portman
Nicole Kidman - I absolutely adore her Australian accent.
Steven Speilberg

Mike

"Please stand clear of the doors."

Walter Cronkite
Peter Jennings
Gilber Godfried (For the heck of it)
Frank Oz (Complete w/ yoda voice)
Jeremy Irons
Walt Disney (If we could....)

My choices.

I don't know why this popped into my head,
but there are some great female vioces out there too.

I think Della Rese (sp) from Touched by an Angle could do a wonderful job with the role

I miss Cronkite

Spaceship Earth just hasn't been the same since Disney removed the Walter Cronkite narration. However, I think it would be cool if, Dr. Hannibal Lecter himself, Anthony Hopkins did the narration the SE. I also think he would be a great Ghost Host at the Haunted Mansion.:sohappy:

I will have to go with James Earl Jones on this one.
I think Anthony Hopkins would give the wrong feel to the ride.
I always think of him as Hannibal Lecter, even when he is
reading Christmas Stories to children. He would be good for
the Haunted Mansion, but I think HM shoul be left the way
it is because it was one of Walt's last efforts before he passed on. I would also like to nominate Samuel L. Jackson. I love his
voice, but I'm sure some would say it would bring a Pulp Fiction feel to the ride that would seem out of place. There I go
contradicting myself :)

Somehow I just don't think he would work for Spaceship Earth!:hammer:

So the most popular choice is James Earl Jones?
I was thinking about Michael J Fox, but maybe his voice sounds too young maybe?

Ok, everyone listen up.

Here is my take on this Spaceship Earth narrator thing. First of all, I am the same age as Spaceship Earth (20 years). For the 25th Anniversary year they should have a remix of all the narrators together. Like have Walter Cronkite for the first part of the ride, then add Jermery Irons for the middle and Vic Perrin or Walter something (whoever did the original soundtrack) or vice versa. Also refurbish Spaceship Earth by taking off that hideous EPCOT sign. I hate that thing. And then refurbish the inside as it appeared throughout the years.

I think it would make fans more happy by bringing the old stuff back.

I can live with Walter doing the first part of Space Ship Earth. Karen and Fee also suggested, and I totally agree, they need to put "Tomorrow's Child" back on at the end of the journey. The last part of the ride is boring.

Hi Karen and Fee :D :animwink:

(If he was still here, but he is in spirit :animwink: ) Walt Disney would be perfect for the narration...

And maybe for the 25th anniversary, they will take down that nasty 'Epcot" sign and it will be EPCOT again.... *sigh*

Gilbert Gottfried I wonder what it would be like with Gilbert doing the narration! Try to imagine him saying this "Like a grand and miraculous spaceship, our planet has sailed through the universe of time." It would be a loud trip up!
