Good news! Keeping fingers crossed hoping it's permanently fixed.

The smell has been there since at least the 19th last week if not earlier.

It was completely off on the 15th, so not any earlier than that.

Came in to also report that burning Rome smell was back yesterday, but was beaten!

I wouldn't say beaten at all. It was very strong.

After missing it for a while it was working on the 22nd in fact we a got a good dose of it the ride stopped in the burning Rome scene and it was really smelly up the place lol .

Oh, btw, how do they get that smell anyway. I know they don't have an actual fire being tended by a CM. Is it some sort of liquid setup like the citrus smell in Soarin'?

Went yesterday--I actually could smell the burning Rome scent while in the queue wafting out from the ride entrance. In the actual scene, it's not as strong :shrug: but it's noticeably there. Still no "smoke" or "steam" like in the past.

I think that now that there is little emphasis of the burning of Rome's libraries in the narration, no doubt some people literally did think the scene was on fire.
