I'm glad everyone liked the video. I'm glad to share it with all of you. No you won't see land but you may hear the twin sonic booms.

We were waiting for Fantasmic to start and everyone got a AMAZING view from their seats of the launch! Our seats couldn't have been better!

My friend and I saw it from the patio of the Rose & Crown!! The day before the bus drivers were announcing it and I was upset that we had our ADR but I think we would've forgotten to be off a ride. It was so cool!! On my College Program I wanted to see one so I'm happy to say I've seen it now. Next time I want to be close to see it launch.

I love that 20 years later- we are still stopping to watch the launches. I live on the west coast, 75 miles N of Tampa, and we could see it bettter this time than any I remember. The only one better is a night launch when it actally looks like an angel.

What a great place to watch the launching! My family & I watched it from Orange Lake - where we stayed last week. Looks to be about the same view as the Poly...except staying at the Poly would have been better! :)

I have some photos in my new album, thanks for posting yours!

It really is a special event to watch live.
While I've always wanted to be at the Cape to see a launch, logistics for a non local are difficult at best.
I was lucky enough to see both a day and night launch from the World just by luck (as both were delayed from their original launch dates).

My favorite place to watch is in tomorrowland on the SM side of the TTA/Astro hub where the shuttle is visible just to the right of Space Mountain and arc's over it to the left. :D

I would love to be there live too. Such a powerful display of man kinds achievements.

I got so frustrated with my sister during this event. They were down in WDW during this event and i told them about it roughly 10 minutes ahead of time. I told them to get outside and look at it live.... she stayed in the room and watched on TV. :brick:

Who's the ______________ that yelled BOOM during the taping?:hammer:Hit him for me. LOL

Watched one live from Titusville in 2000 and it's still the coolest thing I've ever seen.

I was driving south on I-75 in Gainesville when the shuttle took off. I had thought they launched it on the 11th and was disappointed that we wouldn't get to see it. My mother called as I was driving and told me it was 12 minutes until the shuttle launch. We had a small argument about whether it had taken off 4 days earlier, she convinced me it was about to take off, and we started watching. Surprisingly, we could see it great at 200 miles away. It was beautiful! I can't help but almost cry every time I see that. So amazing.
I turned on the weather channel on the morning of the 16th before a full day at AK and Epcot and saw pictures of the launch that someone in the Bahamas had taken! Cool!

In August of '07 we went to Cocoa Beach for some surfing before we checked into Coronado Springs and were shocked to find out there was a launch that day! Got to see it up close right from the beach with thousands of cheering people (unfortunately all of those cheering people also clogged the toll road back to Orlando and it took hours and hours to get to Disney)

I went to elementary school in Orlando and I have great memories of my parents waking me up to come out and see the launch or listen for the sonic booms.

I wish the astronauts a very safe return to Earth!

I also was at Coronado Springs August 07 to watch that launch! it was awesome! we watched form the pool, and it came right out from behind the Pyramid! I can only hope I get to see the chance to see one again in the future!
