I will repeat: there is still NO music where Star Tunnel use to play on the TTA. There is still no indication that Star Tunnel is gone.

I'm telling you, it will probably be gone. Audio would be one of the easiest, cheapest changes to make. They have three or four other Space Mountains to draw material from, making it even cheaper by cutting the cost of creating new music and other audio. On top of that, the relative outdatedness of Star Tunnel and the other stuff could just about be the final nail in the coffin for it.

That's just fine, but I'm reminding people that absolutely nothing I reported is currently replacing Star Tunnel.

Can't wait for the youtube videos!!!
Or full HD ;)

3 weeks ago, I did notice the area music was playing in the beginning of the TTA tunnel, further in than it used to. It was silent though from the lifthill onwards.

Any new audio around the TTA above the load area would need to be bass heavy to be heard above the racket of the rides running. Could be the old `75 area loop which was bass heavy that we can actually hear now.

But do you remember how Disney justified the cheapness of this refurb? It was because they were keeping it "classic". They may not be getting rid of the music.
What are those white mounted things above the TTA?
They look exactly like the star projectors at Disneyland.

I assumed they were just emergency lighting
Thats what I was thinking
I don't think so. Their placement, look, shape, surface suggest that they are for the pinpoint star projections like at Disneyland.

Just saw Phil Holmes and a substantial entourage emerge from behind the Space Mountain work walls. What I think is particularly noteworthy is that none of them were wearing hard hats.

Also, there are now Christmas decorations up on the new stage, and there's a new work wall up in the middle of the walkway at the beginning of the concourse to Tomorrowland, near the Mad Tea Party.

Haha i had multiple positions on this, I too thought it was projectors (what i hope to be)
but said it might be emergency lights, just so im not let down if they arent

Doesn't Disneyland's SM use fiber optics? Those aren't fiber optic projectors. They look like super-bright LED fixtures that are used in theatre and concerts. I'm guessing it's for after hours and emergency lighting. LED's come on instantly, unlike the current ones that take about 2 minutes to get to full strength.
