Hey, you guys are talking about Micheal Giacchino in here? He's the man. Space Mountain, Incredibles, Ratatouille, Speed Racer, Star Trek, Land of the Lost, Up...The only horrible film he's been involved with is Cloverfield, and thankfully that was just one song, they didn't even try to use his uber-talents.

Other than that, each one is fantastic and the track names are hilarious.

In your opinion. :animwink: But his Cloverfield overture is awesome though.

And yes, the rest of his scores are amazing as well. I think his Star Trek score still stands as the best score of the year so far.

I actually enjoy the "Roar Overture" from Cloverfield. It sounds very much like something out of an old monster movie but has Giacchino's talent mixed in. Was it used for the end credits?

Nope. There's no making Cloverfield a good movie. At all. Maybe if it were some college grad's pet project it'd be passable as ambitious, but even if you like it, I can't in good conscious, accept any opinion stating that it's a good movie. Maybe a good commercial, or YouTube video. Not movie.

Indeed!

It was a fun movie. Not good, but fun.

A "good amount of people" enjoy Transformers 2 and Reality Television, soooo...

Nope. Now it's about Giacchino. All Giacchino all the time!

Hit it Mr. Michael Giacchino!

:p :D

Hey, I liked Transformers 2! :lookaroun Minus all the plot holes, gratuitous T&A and cursing. :) Not that I mind T&A, gratuitous or otherwise, or cursing, but they sell the toys with Kids Meals at Burger King for crying out loud. Now I have to explain to my five year old daughter why she can't see a movie she has a toy for! :brick:

Giacchino rocks! Haven't seen it mentioned, but he also does the music for Lost!

One critic called it boring and loud, likening it to watching paint dry while being hit in the head repeatedly by a frying pan. I wholeheartedly agree, not to mention that 2 1/2 hours is absurdly long for a film where not much happens beyond explosions and product placement.
