I don’t think everyone shares your opinion. I think it [Mission Space] is really cool and unique. My stomach just can’t handle Mars more than once a trip.

I think the issue with Mission Space is that it is just another ride where you what a movie about something.

The buttons don't functionally do anything. You only are asked to press them once. It doesn't change the story if participate or not.... There is no interaction at all.

That is why it is not a good ride. You are simply watching an 8 minute TV clip.

The lack of actual interactivity is a valid complaint. We will see if Falcon can address that or if it’s all smoke and mirrors again. You are selling the ride system short however. What you describe is basically Mission to Mars (from Tomorrowland’s ancient history).

That’s built in marketing. Guests leaving the ride will get to see all the great food and 1000 bottles of wine from the restaurant as they pass the bushes at the ride exit. “Do I smell filet with a Chianti reduction paired with Merlot, mom?” “Yes, and space asparagus with smashed purple potatoes! Hunny, grab your phone and book it!”

I thought this was already announced for 2019?

It was announced by WDW but with no date. It was @marni1971 who said 2019, but then the date might be slipping, but then might get it done by 2019. All with the implied panic of WDW to not let Epcot be the lowest attended park in WDW.

None of the other blogs had 2019 as a date. They were all assuming this and the new Japan restaurant couldn't possibly be done by the end of the year.

Looking at the new photos, I really hope they paint the side of the building to somehow fit it with Test Track... Something like a shade of blue with "speed" arrows would be cool and sublte. (and cheapish)
