CalDisny, Yes, I know what you mean..it is very ackward. Now I have a computer program, "HyperPen" that you use a "pen" on a board...but it is still weird, because of having to look on the monitor to see how it's coming out...you feel so detatched from it...but with practice, it gets easier.

BTW, you did a great job, using the mouse, on the Mickey drawing :)

You can get a Wacom tablet that actually has a "monitor" on the pad itself..its really cool and is ideal for those people who cant get used to looking up while drawing......the downside???

The pricetag (last time I checked) was 4000 bucks....I played with the prototype at Siggraph back n 2000...and I was REALLY impressed....if only i could afford it...

Not bad mitch...you should try to do the standard character sheet...front..side...back..3/4ths....2 action poses....id like to see how it looks ;)

not bad...the only thing wrong with it that i can see is it doesnt look like you use the cartoon "circle" base to draw, this of course isnt a problem when doing profiles or straight on pics..but are very valuable when doing 3/4ths....i could by mistaken tho...seeing how it looks like you colored it digitally...

Well NowInc!!

This Character was drawn on the Paint program.
I used the Mouse and My Imagination.
I wish I could draw it on paper But I need to learn how to Color them better.

:>

ohhhh...

well..you can DRAW them on paper, scan em..and then edit them in paint...

Of course..you could also go and pick up a Wacom tablet which, once you get used to it, will make everything much easier...

Well..I'll teach you an old college trick of mine...

Find someone who needs a logo..or some art done...but dont tell them you are without a degree....

Charge them about 500 bucks or so (trust me..thats cheap compaired to what I charge NOW)..and if they accept...BAM!! You have magical art money ;)

The 2 things i would suggest you investing in first would be a copy of Photoshop (good) or Paintshop pro (Cheap)..and a wacom tablet ;)

Nice eye ;)

Not bad..to get a better pic you may want to take the painting outside at around noon..and put it on the floor. The light is brightest at that time of day and you will be able to take a much "clearer" pic of it ;)
