I have just a few more questions before we go see the main mouse.

1. Do we need bug spray? What are the mosquitos like?

2. I once asked if Jedi Training was still running. I understood at the time it was. Does anyone who has just returned know if it is still running?

3. Has anyone every eaten at Les Chef de France?

4. Is there anyplace on the property where we can have digital pictures developed? If not is there a Wal-Mart or Blacks anywhere near POP? We will not have a rental car.

Thanks so much.

I have an answer to #4. If you have a car there is a lot of stores near Downtown Disney. I am talking about outside Disney. I think that the area that I am talking about is the exit that is before the advised exits on I-4 for Disney. This is if you are coming from MCO. If you don't have a car there then you could take a bus to DD and then you could walk to the area. There is a lot of shops and some food and ice cream.

Reguardless Of what time of year you go, bug spray is always helpful. If not for one insect there are always others that need to be repelled, so bring it. :animwink:

I'm sure that there is a place to develop your pictures within the property.
If you can't find one there is a large shopping center just outside the main entrance to the property. It is called Cross Roads.

I wouldn't worry about bug spray right now, but sun block is a must!

I work here in the area and I'm outside a lot and the mosquitos haven't been that bad recently.

There are places like Walgreens around the world. You might be able to take a LYNX bus there from Downtown Disney. There's one by Cross Roads which is about half a mile from Downtown Disney.

Sorry, I can't help you with the other stuff.

Have fun!

I believe you can have photos developed at the camera shop in MGM and EPCOT. I have never had digital ones done, but I have had 35mm ones done.

We just take our laptop and download to free up disk space. Then we develope at home where it is cheaper.

I have never had problems with bugs anywhere on WDW property. Well, except for the Love Bugs and I've only encountered them by the hotel pool and they leave you alone :)

I'm sorry to respond to your question with another question, but what is Jedi Training? I'm assuming it has to do with Star Tours:veryconfu

From what I understand from my reading and other posts this is something they run during Star Wars Weekends at MGM. I was under the understanding that it is still running??? could be wrong. Anyway it is where they take kids from the crowd and teach them some nifty Jedi moves. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

I have 2 ds that are Star Wars nuts just like their mum:wave: . It would make their trip to be included. I have said nothing to them just in case. Although we just read about the Kim Possible Game at Epcot. They really want to be picked to try that.

I've never had a problem with bugs at any of the resorts..We discussed the bug issue with one of the CM's, and he said WDW uses some type of repilant all over the park to control the little critter's.

I've been to Chefs De France 2x and never again..My 2nd time was my last hoping it would've been better than the first, but I was wrong..Le Cellier is awesome!! Love it!:sohappy:

Also, about the bugs, I have never had a problem with bugs (especially mosquitoes) at WDW. I am one who typically has to keep a layer of bug spray on me to keep the pests off, but have always been thrilled that WDW seems to be mosquito free:lol:

We were told that each park has a camera center which can develop digital and film pictures. MK-in the Exposition Hall, MGM-Camera shop is the first store on the right corner of the street, Epcot-Camera center in the front of the park, as you enter on the right side. I've never seen the one at AK so I can't help there. We've only used the one at the MK this year to quickly print some pictures of my cousins proposal to his now fiance so they would have instant memories of the occasion.

I live in an area where they spray insecticide by helicopter in order to keep the mosquito population down. I still get at least 3 dozen bites a year. In the 10 times that I have been to WDW, I don't recall ever being bitten. So, mosquitos are certainly not a problem.

No bug bites here, and trust me, I've always been the mosquito magnet. I have noticed more of the little swarms of gnats lately, but they don't bite; they're more annoying than anything harmful. Also, the love bugs don't bite (May & Sept, usually) but are "yucky."

I have NEVER used insect repellent at WDW.

I have used on site developing; as others mentioned, $$$$

I've never eaten at Chefs de France, as I've usually had children or am meeting someone.

And I know nothing about Jedi training. Perhaps Master Yoda will chime in later.

I guess you could take insect spray (but not in your carry-on, LOL), but I didn't notice any mosquitos on our last trip. In fact, it never even crossed my mind. As far as Jedi training, I guess you could call MGM itself and maybe they could give you some information. Just an idea.:veryconfu

Jedi Training is a show that happens right outside of the Star Tours attraction. A Jedi Master will use the force and select several younglings from the audience to receive Jedi training. The younglings will don Jedi Robes and be taught the art of wielding a lightsaber. At the end of their training the will each get to practice their moves on Darth Vader or Darth Maul.

This attraction typically runs only during Star Wars Weekends but this year they started it a few weeks before SWW and it was rumored to become a permanent attraction. However the last time I was in MGM was July 1st and I believe the stage that this happens on has been removed so it looks like it is on hiatus until the next SWW.
