I have just a few more questions before we go see the main mouse.

1. Do we need bug spray? What are the mosquitos like?

2. I once asked if Jedi Training was still running. I understood at the time it was. Does anyone who has just returned know if it is still running?

3. Has anyone every eaten at Les Chef de France?

4. Is there anyplace on the property where we can have digital pictures developed? If not is there a Wal-Mart or Blacks anywhere near POP? We will not have a rental car.

Thanks so much.

why would you need to get the digital pictures developed? IF you need the room just bring another sd card or get a bigger one?

I have a large card 512mb. According to the instructions of the camara I can get like 515 pictures. We are however new to digital camaras. My Dad thought it would be a nice treat for us to have one. We spent $$$$ on film and developing last time we went to the World. I am worried about picture quality because I scrap. That is why I thought I would have some developed to see the quality.

We are taking both cameras because we sometimes seperate. Our kids are 12 and 7 so they don't always like doing the same things. The scary part is I will likely take the whole 515 pictures.

I am not sure what camera you are using or what memory card it uses but you can get 2gb cards now for well under $100. I paid $89 for a top of the line SanDisk extreme 3 2gb card a few months ago and I have seen cards with the same capacity and slower write speeds for much less. A big card will be much cheaper than film processing at WDW. If your camera will support a card that size you can shoot to your hearts content.

I keep my camera in burst mode unless I am shooting static things like buildings or landscapes so it is not uncommon for me to take 700 pictures in a day.

I have a Fuji Fine pics 400. It is 4.1 megapix. My Dad bought the upgraded card also a Fuji. I was thrilled to get the camara. It is likely the best he could buy where he lives (small town Northern Ontario) Sorry not to sound snotty or anything.

I don't know how to double quote from 2 different posts so I replied to you both seperately. Sorry for the repeat.

That camera uses an xD card and their capacity tops out at about 1gb which sells for $50. If you can fit more that 500 images on your current card you should get at least 1000 pictures on that card.

You camera also has a continuous shooting mode on it which you may want to give a whirl if you are shooting shows or fireworks.

Les Chefs de France is one of our favorites. You could always just try it for lunch. I haven't had French onion soup anywhere else that can match theirs, and the Croc Monsieur is the best toasted ham & cheese sandwich you'll ever have.
We've never used or thought we needed any bug repellent at WDW.
Hope you have a fantastic trip. :)

I love Chef de France, the food is great and it's a place I go every trip.

Places to burn a CD cheap:

1. Walgreen's on route 535 (if you come out of WDW on rte 536, you will pass the Marriott World Orlando Center Hotel and right after that is rte 535, make a left onto 535 and Walgreen's is on your left hand side almost immediately)

2. Walmart on rte 535. Come out of WDW on rte 536, same as above and instead of turning left, turn right and it is about 1/2 mile down on the right hand side. You will pass the VF Outlet mall on the right and Hess gas station on left.

When I was in the parks in May this year I went to the camera shop at MGM Disney Studios and had a CD burned that covered all the pictures off of our 512 MB card in less than 10 minutes for $12.00. I know that you can get it done cheaper elsewear, however my time to get anywhere else was worth a lot more than the couple of bucks I might have saved.

Do you mean I can get 1000 picture on my current card or if I buy the bigger card? Sorry about the last post it sounded really uppity. What I was trying to say was he lives in a small town with not much selection. I kind of got caught at work:lookaroun SO thought I should not continue at that point.

If you were to buy a new 1gb card it would hold about 1000 pictures based on you telling me that your current 512 mb card holds 500 pictures. If you purchased a new 1 gb card and took your existing 512 mb card as well, you could shoot about 1500 pictures before you would run out of memory.

Another idea I've thought about is buying a digital photo printer. They make portable ones, and you could bring that along with some photo paper and then print them in your room, if you really want them printed.

Or, and the other posters know more about this than me, but is there some way to connect your camera to the TV so that you can see the pictures you've taken on TV? That way you could decide which ones to delete to make room for more.

Seems like there are two concerns here: 1) Having enough space for all the photos you want to take and 2) Being able to get a good look at the ones you've taken so you can go back for re-takes if needed. A CD or bigger card would solve #1, but not #2. A photo printer or looking at them on TV would solve #2, and I guess #1 if you deleted enough.
