Some Info I Came Across

So I was chatting with Patrick Brennan the other day, and although I won't tell you exactly what we discussed, I can tell you that Typhoon Lagoon came up in the discussions. Apparently there's been a second expansion beyond Crush'n Gusher which has been in the works for a very long time. Although the project's not been green lit at this time, hopes are high that with continued good attendance at the waterparks, management will see the benefits of adding greater capacity to the park most easily expanded. If you're curious as to where the expansion would take place, it would be to the west of Crush'n Gusher, in an area referred to as the boneyard by cast members. And sorry, but I cannot give you any details about the project at this time.

In my rush to type out a list of future, added incentives for guests to stay on-property which are being discussed, I forgot to mention one of the most exciting ideas we've come up with. We are currently looking at the possibility of implementing a system where each on-site guest receives a Magic Pass for each night they spend in a Disney Resort hotel. So if a guest stays at the Pop Century Resort from Monday through Wednesday, then each day they go to the parks, they have one Magic Pass to spend. So what is a Magic Pass? A Magic Pass is a fastpass... but a fastpass you can spend on any attraction of your choice. Think a one-time Dream Pass. These would be embedded in your RFID card.

And for those of you who think you've got all the scoop on the Magic Kingdom's future changes from the Fantasyland blueprints circulating on the web... well think again. Although I did tell you in May that the Magic Kingdom would see its borders expanded for the first time in 20 years, the blueprints are not all that's coming to the most visited theme park in the world.

That sounds awesome. I wonder what could come to TL, whatever it is I'm sure it'll be cool, new, and fun.

Not all that is coming to Magic Kingdom? I can just imagine what else may be announced... wonder if it's more on FL or more expansions in other lands. Whatever it is, that is good news :sohappy:

As for the Magic Passes being on your RFID - since it involves RFID I'm guessing we won't see this for quite some time? (unless RFID is coming within the next year)

How about we get a Photopass barcode on our Key to the World cards and be able to review our photos in our room on the TV or on free wireless (or even wired) internet?

What kind of insider would call himself "WDW Insider"?

If this guy is the real McCoy, then ________ Tracy's Crime Stoppers is the next big attraction for MGM.

Well, Little Mermaid is coming 20 years later... who says Tracy isn't coming, too? :lookaroun

Actually, once the RFID switch is made, photogs should just scan your Walt Disney World Resort Key and your pics will be linked to your online account. So yes, you should be able to view them online that evening once we switch over, and if that feature makes it in (which is very likely).

As for the ReDis guy, it wouldn't be a huge surprise for people to be aware of the expansion's different plans in the past. Originally there was supposed to be an expansion immediately after the completion of Crush'n Gusher and it was just pushed back due to budgeting. I don't know how many of you have been to the top of C'n G, but there's a lot of backstage left showing that isn't typical. Sort of like the Pop Century issue in which we get underway with a multi-stage project and then if only one or two stages are completed, things just don't look as intended.
