Some Disney Classics Coming to Blue Ray

It looks like we might have to wait a bit, but Disney has announced that Pinnochio, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and Sleeping Beauty from 2008-2010

Nice! I can't wait to get them. Now I have to decide if I want to get both DVD and Blu-Ray (even though I don't have the blu-ray player...yet:lookaroun), since I am assuming they are going to be limited edition.

I don't know much about Blue Ray, but I was thinking I head that Blue Ray and DVD discs can play in each other's machines. Is that correct?

DVDs can play in a Blu-Ray player. I don't think Blu-Ray can play in a DVD player, though.

Correct, you can't play Blu-Ray in a DVD player, but you can play DVD in a Blu-Ray and it will upconvert the picture to 1080i

I can't wait for Pinocchio on Blu-Ray. That is Walt Disney's closest effort to animating in the level of detail now found 60 years later in CGI.

I have them all on DVD already, but im getting a blue-ray player just for Sleeping Beauty (The DVD version isn't the best copy of Sleeping Beauty) Sleeping beauty is my Favorite Disney Movie.

The things iv heard about what they have planned for the Blue-ray versions of these films gets me so excited.
