Trip Report Solo: A Disneyland Story - My first trip by myself!

Alright, I won't get too into it, but there's been a lot of rough stuff in my life the last several years. Depression, anxiety, family member deaths, family members battling (and surviving) cancer, issues with school. A bunch of stuff.

But, I'm graduating soon. I have, with plenty of therapy and counseling, gotten too a very liveable and manageable point with my mental health. Family member health is stable and safe.

Life was dark for a while, but I've made it out the other end and things are looking bright.

After saving up for about a year, I've finally got to the point where I can take my dream solo trip to Disneyland! My first time since 2005 when I was nine years old.

It's gonna be a real budget trip, but I'm so excited! I made it work and I can do it!

I'm in the airport now ready to fly across the country!

Today is a travel day, then I have four park days, then a travel day to take me back home!

@Pi on my Cake living proof that you're not the only one terrified of the Fun Wheel. This was recorded my first time going on the thing since a traumatic ride on it when I was like 15 which resulted in my grandma and I BEGGING the ride ops to let us off after the first rotation.

Y'know, if this was some cheesy '90s ABC sitcom, we'd probably use this opportunity to remember old episodes to save money.

Saaaaaaaaay, did I ever tell you about the time when Full House went to Disney World?

Probably another controversial opinion. I think Tarzan's Treehouse is better than Swiss Family. Tarzan is a stronger IP and a better movie. They use the cartoonyness to add some more color and energy to the walkthrough. I'm usually not a huge fan of statues, but I think they work here. Overall an improvement in my book. And that's coming from someone who genuinely likes both the Swiss Family treehouse and movie.

Indiana Jones just Test Tracked me! Right near the front and the thing goes down. Hopefully it will be up later. Their giving us fastpasses to make up for waiting in line though. Of course, that means waiting in another line just to exit and get a fastpass lol
It happens all the time! Indiana breaks down almost everyday! I don't know what is going on with that ride. One time we were about to start the ride when it broke down. The seat belts were locked and we couldn't move. It was horrible lmao. They made it up to us by letting us go twice.

I must be lucky. Never had indiana jones break down. Have had Buzz Lightyear break down before and maybe Haunted Mansion (unsure if those instances were because of disabled guests or not).

My only noteworthy Disneyland breakdown was on Matterhorn. Rode it in the middle of a glorious thunderstorm, and the bobsled rerouted into the transfer track just before the unloading. We sat stuck there in the pounding rain for a good 10 minutes, and for our suffering the cast members gave us all another two rides in a row without having to get up. Great times!

I have experienced this too! We were just sitting their watching everyone unload and load until they asked us if we wanted to a go again. Do you know why they do this? Is it because the timing is off?
