I have a friend in Florida visiting her parents and her Mom works at Disney. They we told yesterday cast previews would be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
Cast previews are for MK cast only and they are by invitation. Not all MK cast get to ride it. The cast you have seen on the ride have been mostly those that are training or in the test and adjust team. From what I've been told there will be no other cast previews except the invitation only MK cast. I don't know about soft opens for regular guests.
OKAY. So back on topic. MK Cast Previews should start Wednesday. Leading up to full Cast Previews and then AP Previews.
Based on the way this month has progressed, I would not expect a Soft Open for the public until the 24 hour day weekend, IF ONE HAPPENS AT ALL.
There is no guarantee that one will happen at all. The ride opens on the 28th. Do not plan on riding it before then.
Those could also be purposefully thrown errors to test the new attraction CMs for their training and procedures. I'm sure there's a way for a trainer to randomly throw a sensor code that mimics actual issues. That way the CMs are trained under situations closer to real world where they don't know what will happen or when it will happen.Heard from a cast member buddy who rode yesterday that the ride had to be evac'd in the middle of the ride several times, whatever that means. I wouldn't read too much into it (I've seen it happen to a lot of open attractions), but it goes to show you why they seem to be in no rush to push thousands of paying customers through this thing before it's fully ready.

better to test out now than after it is openThey might have been training evacuation procedures.

I don't believe there is one, but not 100% sure.Does anyone know if there will be a single rider line for 7DMT?
I was there at noon. Trains were running continuously with every other train being filled with cast members in street clothes (they had to show a badge to get into the queue). It started to rain and the trains stopped running. I saw a couple of people exit who were wearing magic bands. I assume cast members use magic bands too, but I had thought there was a chance those were general public. But I think it was all cast members riding.
I didn't work there when there were Magic Bands, but when I did, your ID did everything and when I was there last year (when they had first installed the new scanners at the entrance), we had to use the "Cast Entrance" at the gate to scan our DCL cards since they hadn't issued any RFID stuff to Cruise Line guests. I'm sure if they really wanted to they could use them, but I'd say maybe there are some family members that got to ride as well or something. Just a guess, though.

There is yes. Will they use it? Well, lets just say I doubt it will last as long as TSMM's did.
