Why they keep stretching this out is beyond me.
From what is being reported. It seems at first they were having issues with getting multiple trains running at the same time. But more recently, I have heard that the timing of the ride with the figures is slightly off.Why they keep stretching this out is beyond me.
There is no question that we have not seen continual cycles of multiple trains. They have always been singles, and not 5 trains all running at the same time which is what they will need to get the capacity right on this. From what is being reported. I would expect to see this happen before soft openings. With Everest, we saw days of continual cycles involving all trains. Then it moved to soft openings, then full official opening.Which is something that soft openings would be perfect for, no?
This has to be the most bizarre ride opening procedure I've seen from Disney. Media event with no opening date set?
Although, what can we expect, they bumbled the opening of the entirety of New Fantasyland, so why not this, too. They get poor reviews from people for opening in unimpressive phases with large, ugly construction zones along the way, so the cherry on top of all of this is to disenfranchise paying by letting the all-important news reporters see the ride before the hapless park guests paying $99/day?
Never has it been so clear that TDO feels it better to cater to the media and mommy bloggers over actual, paying guests.
No, this is a safety issue and there is no way Disney could put guests on the trains. Timing issues might use the brakes not to properly engage. Doing softs would be a lawsuit waiting.Which is something that soft openings would be perfect for, no?
I don't follow. Was this in response to my post? I was just speculating on what I thought the sequence of events and timing might be. If I'm wrong or way off base, I would be more than gracious to hear what the actual sequence might be.^This
Apparently the SOP is being written on the fly right now.
