Question of the Day
What are your favorite rides?

If we're going strictly by rides that are still open, rather than rides that are closed, I actually have a top ten.

10. PeopleMover
9. Toy Story Mania
8. Test Track
7. Star Tours
6. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
5. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. The Haunted Mansion
3. Kilimanjaro Safaris
2. Peter Pan's Flight
1. Soarin'

I haven't ridden the likes of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and the attractions of Pandora and Galaxy's Edge yet, but I'm sure my list will change when I do.

In just a few moments, @TheOriginalTiki and I will be joined by special guest @AceAstro to talk our Islands of Adventure

I will defend Capcom Island a bit by saying that I was thinking it'd be 60-70% SF + 2 side rides with Strider and Final Fight. I still really like the idea of a Strider roller coaster, though I can see that IP being too obscure for the average parkgoer.

I'm surprised that none of you mentioned RE would be a great theme park IP, especially since its already been represented in the past at Universal Studios Japan.

In the end, I'm glad we went with Splatoon. I didn't see that many ideas with James Bond despite everyone liking the idea and only me and DashHaber liked the Capcom Island idea. Splatoon had plenty of excitement and ideas behind it and obviously the final island turned out great!

Question of the Day
What are some of your favorite anniversary celebrations?
TOP 5:
The Happiest Homecoming on Earth (Disneyland 50th) - So much to love here. Remember... Dreams Come True, Parade of Dreams (probably one of the pieces that absolutely cemented my love of all things entertainment), the 50 Hidden Mickeys, the mosaics, and the golden attraction vehicles. I have such nostalgia for this era of Disneyland.

Tokyo DisneySea 5th Anniversary

The Legend of Mythica, Over the Waves, Big Band Beat, and Tower of Terror were the quadruple hit of this celebration, coupled with the amazing Harborside Christmas and Spring Carnival events. On top of that, the GORGEOUS Sea of Dreams theme song rounded everything together. This was something really special.

Tokyo Disney Resort 25th Anniversary

This is probably the greatest anniversary celebration ever. Five seasons, each with their own flavor but tied together with the theme of "Dreams Go On". It started small with a small greeting show at Land and a new version of the Spring Carnival at Sea, the immensely fun Cool the Heat during the day and the wonderful Starlight Dreams during the Summer at Land alongside Bonfire Dance at Sea, the really fun villain-based Halloween at Land and the delightful Food and Wine on steroids that was Disney á la Carte at Sea, the always amazing Christmas Fantasy and Harborside Christmas, and then the grand finale with Dreams Within and Mickey's Dream Company. Not to mention Jubilation (if you think Dreaming Up! is amazing, check this one out). All this tied together with The Dream Goes On, one of my favorite Disney songs ever.

Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary

This one sneaks close to Tokyo's 25th for sheer quality. That Grand Celebration was the icing on the cake (literally) that came from the absolute love the entire park got from refurbs and updates, the outstanding Starlit Princess Waltz, the really fun Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris, and the (mostly) great Disney Stars on Parade. It's really only let down by the AWFUL Ignite the Dreams ripoff Disney Illuminations. Not to mention that it was capped off by the game-changer that was the Festival of Pirates and Princesses that put those small stages in the hub and produced a new outstanding era in Paris' entertainment lineup that continued with Mickey's Halloween Celebration, Jungle Book Jive, and the finale show of the 100 Characters AP Party.

Disneyland Paris 15th Anniversary

Just Like We Dreamed It was a top tier song, Candellabration was a spectacular show, and Once Upon a Dream Parade was amazing. Not much else to say about this one but it was just a really wonderful celebration for a park that was starting to turn around.

Question of the Day
What are some of your favorite anniversary celebrations?

Disneyland's 50th is easily my favorite for the smaller things it did. Yea the headliners like Space Mountain 2.0 and Remember...Dreams Come True were awesome, but I absolutely ADORE stuff like the mosiacs, the golden vehicles, the 50 golden hidden mickeys, the Class of 1955 dedications for the opening day attractions. Not to derail @mickeyfan5534 and his vision for this project, but when I think of anniversaries I don't really think of show-stopping parades and jaw-dropping entertainment. I more think of the small things that get added to enhance the overall park experience and make it extra special.

Then again, maybe this is just me speaking as someone who will marathon Big Thunder or something during the parade/fireworks pretty much every single time, so take that for what you will ;)

What are some of your favorite anniversary celebrations?
I was only in person for two: Disneyland's 50th Anniversary (went in September 2006, it ended in October 2006) and Disneyland Paris' 25th Anniversary (went in May 2018, they were still celebrating it at that point).

But I also like what they did for Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary (except for turning the castle into a cake -- and I just realized that's a contender for Worst Castle in a Disney Park) and Tokyo Disneyland's 15th Anniversary (Seriously, have you guys seen Viva Magic?)
