Disneyland's 50th is easily my favorite for the smaller things it did. Yea the headliners like Space Mountain 2.0 and Remember...Dreams Come True were awesome, but I absolutely ADORE stuff like the mosiacs, the golden vehicles, the 50 golden hidden mickeys, the Class of 1955 dedications for the opening day attractions. Not to derail @mickeyfan5534 and his vision for this project, but when I think of anniversaries I don't really think of show-stopping parades and jaw-dropping entertainment. I more think of the small things that get added to enhance the overall park experience and make it extra special.

Then again, maybe this is just me speaking as someone who will marathon Big Thunder or something during the parade/fireworks pretty much every single time, so take that for what you will ;)
Frankly, give me both of these! The big and the little should go hand in hand

Hey, Parade of Dreams was pretty cool. Plus, that version of "Welcome" never fails to give me an adrenaline rush...and that's saying something, considering the film it comes from was not that good.

What's a Disney ride not from California adventure from the eisner era that would've been really cool if it had more of a budget?

Edit: Nevermind. Rocket Rods

This just reminded me of a small touch that Tokyo did for their 35th

There were 35 statues of Mickey in different costumes scattered throughout Disneyland and DisneySea and the main decoration of the celebration was a massive monument on World Bazaar featuring Mickey in his anniversary costumes

It is done! Doing some final reviews, but it is uploaded to YouTube and scheduled for tomorrow at 3:!4 Est (Pi Time)!!

29 Minutes long of a Defunctland style video (I mean, no where near that level obviously, this is my first serious video and meant as more of a comedic overview of a whole park than a deep dive on one thing. But that was the kind of editing style I was hoping for) talking about all the weird, strange, and often awful things from DCA 1.0 in 2001! 2 months of work and a lot of lessons learned! Excited for people to see this but also excited for the next one already!

I hope this doesn't just come off as self promotion or anything. I'm just really excited about finally finishing it and want to share it with this community! I've grown so much as a creative person thanks to this forum and all the people in it making it special. I wouldn't have been able to do anything remotely like this without the lessons I've learned here.

I'll share the video when it goes public tomorrow!

Question of the Day
What is your favorite nighttime spectacular?
Nothing tops Fantasmic to me. There might be shows that are technically better, but Fantasmic has such a grand, event feeling to it. The long walk to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater away from the main park into what feels like another world. The lights, the music, the culmination and combination of all these different effects and themes...
It is in desperate need of some updated effects and to be less dated, but even with the old tech it still has this Avengers style epic event feeling that nothing else tops in my mind.

So now that Tiki has put a huge target on my back, how many people usually make the semifinal in SYWTBAI? I’ve never played so I genuinely have no idea.

I do know the longer we play, the harder it’s going to be to cut down an already top tier final nine!
I'm hopeful to see you go forward with the current work ethic you've put in and effort on display.

That goes for many I'm just hoping to see a best imagineering win scenario because given the top tier effort put in so far that seems like the best way for the game to go.

Not sure if anyone has heard of this but I'll post anyway.
