Here we come to soar in the sky with Dumbo, go under the sea with Captain Nemo, and on a wild spin with The Mad Hatter. We come here not only to play, but to believe. To believe a young boy can take on the world. To believe dalmatians can escape a crazed woman. To believe that a book can come to life. On behalf of all of us at Disney, welcome to Fantasyland.

A medieval tent catches the attention of guests as the marque shows the name of the attraction along with some bees dotting the tent itself. Guests will enter a standard switchback queue in which the barriers will be made to look as if they were carved out of a tree. Every once in a while on the walls will be a page of from the book Winnie the Pooh by A.A Milne. Overall it will be your typical Fantasyland queue of that era.

As guests get ready to embark on their journey through the Hundred Acre Woods they will see the multitude of hot air balloons they may sit in. Each hot air balloons' color scheme is inspired by a character from the Winnie the Pooh shorts. While the basket is one of Pooh's hunny pots allowing for two guests to sit comfortably. Above the hunny pots where the burner for the hot air balloon would be is a speaker which is synced up to the happenings of the ride similar to the nearby Haunted Mansion. This allows for the guest experience to be more immersive.

Scene 1 : Christopher Robin's Room
The hot air balloons glide into Christopher Robin's room. It is a shot by shot recreation of the room seen in the opening of the classic short "Winnie the Pooh and The Honey Tree". As the balloons go through a room a large oversized book is propped open. The balloons float into an opening in the book itself, and the next scene.

This is the opening from the 1977 The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, but it is the same opening used in the 1966 and 1968 short. The only difference being the credits themselves.

Narrator: Chapter One, in which we are introduced to Winnie the Pooh and his friends.

Scene 2 : 100 Acre Wood
The balloons float by the treetops, and down below the residents of the 100 Acre Wood are already busy. Eeyore is sitting down in his gloomy place. As the balloon approaches is house made from sticks is knocked down. He lets out a sigh.

Eeyore: Could be worse; not sure how.

As the balloon continue to float on by they enter a sandy place in which Roo plays. Tigger is on his tail atop of a rock as Roo is getting ready to go bouncing with Tigger. Kanga looks on from her house.

Kanga: Oh, be careful Roo!
Roo: Don't worry, Mama!

The balloons flyover Rabbit's garden. A scarecrow stands tall, along with with a wheelbarrow full of pumpkins. Signs are picketed into the ground stating that 'Absolutely no gophers or tiggers!'. Rabbit is off in his farm picking carrots, and Piglet carries them. Which is rather hard to see for you see Piglet is far smaller than the actual carrots. The balloons reenter the woods as they float by Owl's treehouse with Owl on his porch reciting his memoir to his guests.

Owl: Now when I just a wee little owlet, I was quite the livewire in my nest.

Owl's voice slowly drifts away as the balloons continue to float in the woods as they pass by a certain Mr.Sanders house. In front of a door is Pooh, thinking really hard. For you see he has come onto an issue: he had no honey, but there is a rumbly in his tummy.

Winnie the Pooh: Oh think, think, think...how can I get honey from the bees....

The balloons float away from Pooh, and his very deep thinking.

Scene 3 : The Quest for a Balloon
Narrator: Chapter Two, In Which Pooh Gets a Clue

The balloons float to Christopher Robin's tree home, and below them guests can see a bike as well as some toys strewn about his yard. Among other things is Christopher Robbin handing a much muddier Winnie the Pooh a balloon.

1515462024869.png

Christopher Robin: Pooh bear, why are you dirty?
Winnie the Pooh: You see Christopher Robin, if the bees think I'm a raincloud then I can get some honey to eat.

The hot air balloon floats away from the two as a slight breeze is heard through the balloon.

Scene 4 : Little Black Rain Cloud
Narrator: Chapter Three, In Which the Winds Swapped Places

The hot air balloons float among the treetops of the 100 Acre Woods as a slight humming can be heard. As the balloons continue to drift along the winds they see the culprit of the humming is none other than Winnie the Pooh.

Winnie the Pooh: I'm just a little black rain cloud. Hovering under the honey tree.

As Winnie the Pooh floats closer to the beehive he reaches out to grab a smackerel of honey. However a gust of wind passes through causing Pooh to float away from the beehive, and now he is reaching towards the tree.

Winnie the Pooh: Oh bother, it must be a windsday.

Scene 5 : Happy Windsday!
From the ground down below rises a surprise, little Roo rises in the air up and down as he gleefully shouts down to his mother whom he is holding on to through a scarf. Kanga on the ground looks on very concerned about her son.

Roo: Look mama! I'm a kite! Weeee!
Kanga: Don't worry Roo, I'll get you down!

As the balloons float along with the gushes of wind pushing along guests they past by oversized swirling leafs. Hanging onto one of these leave is Piglet.

Piglet: Happy Windsd-d-d-day!

As the balloons float out of the Windsday a flash of light goes by and booming thunder is heard overheard. The light pitter patters of rain drops echoes throughout the hot air balloon.

Scene 6 : The Rain, Rain, Rain Came Down, Down, Down
Narrator: Chapter Four, In Which The Rain, Rain, Rain Came Down, Down, Down

The ground of the 100 Acre Wood seems to have been completely covered by water as little ripples of raindrops landing in the waters appear throughout the woods. Down below in an umbrella boat is Rabbit is addling to land, and Eeyore on the other side gloomingly looking up to the rain clouds.

Eeyore: Well at least there wasn't any snow...

The balloons float by Christopher Robin's home miraculously unflooded as the inhabitants all gather there. Well everyone except Tigger, Pooh, and Piglet. Across the ways is Tigger's tail wrapped around a tree branch as Tigger attempts to balance himself on Pooh whose head is inside a honeypot, simply floating along for the ride. Piglet is on a chair which is teetering over the edge of a waterfall.

Tigger: Don't worry Piglet! I got you!

1515467673523.png

The balloons circle around our heroes, and see just how steep the waterfall is compared to where they float. Birds suddenly begin to chirp as the balloons float right back into a bright and sunny day.

Scene 7 : The Celebration
Narrator: Chapter Five, In Which Our Heroes Celebrate

Back in Christopher Robin's home and yard the flood waters are gone, and in its place party decorations celebrating Tigger who saved Piglet. A large table spread has been put up allowing for a place for everyone to sit, and celebrate. Well everyone, but Pooh who has seemed to have gone missing.

All: Hip Hip Hooray! For Tigger and Pooh!
Piglet: But where is Pooh?

The hot air balloons fly into an old tree with an opening large enough for a bear to fit in.

Scene 8 : The Honey Tree
The final scene depicts Pooh sitting in a pool of honey as he happily eats it by the handful. The walls seem to blur between being honeycomb, and paper mache with writing on it. The balloons float through the book they entered in through, and end up in the loading area as they depart from the 100 Acre Woods.

The vehicles quickly spin out of control as it races through the forest. As guests traverse the forest a running behind them is heard along with a heavy breathing broken by the occasional growl.

1515814828902.png

Scene 5 : Sonia's Sacrifice
It seems as if all is come as if the wolf has been lost from guests, but as they approach an old mill something statingly appears. Sonia the Duck is running from the Wolf as she tries to fly away. In front of the old mill Sonia now appears with angel wings and a halo as she waves goodbye to the guests. (Pepper's Ghost)

Scene 6 : Sasha the Brave

The vehicles turn, and guests will see Sasha has passed out now lying on the Wolf's tongue as he slowly closes his maw. The guests see Ivan hiding behind a log pointing to go deeper into the woods.

Scene 7 : The Grand Hunt
The hunters pop up from behind bushes screaming louding warning guests to go home. The vehicles turn, and go down a path in the scary forest, but of no where the wolf pops up once more. The hunters begin to scream as gunshots echo throughout the forest, but seemingly miss everything. The vehicles rush through the forest, and anter a clearing in the forest.

Scene 8 : The End
As the vehicles continue down the path the wolf once again pops up howling. The vehicles pick up speed, and pass by the hunters all seemingly to take aim at the guests. The vehicles pass a corner, ad guests will see they are aiming at the wolf who has lunged into the air. Guests will get up close to him, his eyes bloodshot by his for death, his fangs gleaming from the little light, and a blood curdling growl let out as he is about to eat the guests. A loud bang sounds off as strobe lights go off. The doors open, and guests are lead out of their vehicles. The question to be asked to one's self is"Who died?"

Project 2 - Purist Prompt
Imagineering-Disney_WDW-71-Header-1.jpg

With the task of having to restructure the original opening lineup of the Magic Kingdom Fantasyland dark rides, the prompt mentioned the thematic tones of the original lineup of dark rides - as "beautiful" (Mary Poppins), "fun and crazy" (Sleepy Hollow), and "scary" (Sleeping Beauty)

These themes were meant to correlate with the similar themes of the Disneyland's Peter Pan's Flight, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and Snow White's Scary Adventures respectfully.

However, rather than keeping the same tones for the new Magic Kingdom lineup, these attractions will mix up the tones of the dark rides, combining themes and creating new themes to differentiate them from Disneyland's lineup.

The three Walt Disney Era films chosen were:
1942's Bambi,
1947's Fun and Fancy Free (specifically the Mickey and the Beanstalk section),
and 1961's 101 Dalmatians.

1971 'New' Opening Day Map
Untitled.jpg

The Great Prince of the Forest
2903-6BambiMount.jpg

Attraction Themes: Natural Beauty, Scary, Sadness, and Hope.

Located in the former Mr Toad's Wild Ride showbuilding on the far right side of Fantasyland - The Great Prince of the Forest is a dark ride themed to Walt Disney's 1942 classic Bambi. Inspired by the concept sketches of the (now late-great), Tyrus Wong, this dark ride will be unique from others due to its scarce reliance on dialogue, with an emphasis on music and an impressionist art driven narrative.

The scenes flow together in a rhythmic harmony that illustrate Bambi's maturation from a young fawn to the leader of the forest, told through several makeshift vignettes of the forest seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and back to Spring.

Guests begin their experience by winding through a series of switchbacks, where birds and other woodland creatures can be heard chirping and humming along with the spring sunshine. Lining the queue are impressionist forest paintings throughout the switchbacks, that quite literally, 'paint' the picture of where you are heading in the attraction.

As you approach the load area, a large nest approaches as your ride vehicles, symbolizing not only a connection with nature, but also an underlying reference to an attachment towards motherly figures, as being in a birds nest is an allusion to Bambi's close relationship with his mother.

As the nest glides off into the forest, we hear morning birds and a crisp spring/summer breeze before us as we turn the corner to see Bambi with his mother, as well as Thumper, Flower, and Faline in the distance calling for Bambi to play with them.
wong5.png

The jovial and upbeat background music gives the guests a calming sense of serenity throughout the forest, as the nest glides through the trees, and we see Bambi playing along, his mother watching proudly, and looming in the distance, The Great Prince of the Forest, watching and protecting the forest from 'Man'.

As we transition into the next season, the leaves have turned and we see some of the woodland creatures preparing for hibernation, Bambi and his mother prance along as the fall season transitions into snow for the next scene. We then hear a gunshot as Bambi's echoing call for mother can be heard throughout the snow covered trees. A shadowing figure, The Great Prince, appears in the distance to tell Bambi, "come son, your mother can't be with you anymore"
1515470404456.png

For an added emotional effect - after the line of dialogue is spoken, the scene flows into complete silence as the background music fades, and you watch Bambi slowly stride off with the shadowy figure in the distance and the scene continues to black amidst the silence.

The blackness of the tunnel acts as a time jump as we now see Bambi as a young stag the following winter, courting Faline as more gunshots are heard in the distance through the forest and the trees begin to turn orange and red. Sensing danger, your nest begins to franctically swerve back and forth through the tattered remains of the forest. This is the first installation of what will be known as the 'Rome Burning' smellitzer coming to Spaceship Earth in 1982, as the room's aroma places you in a burning forest with the pumped in smell of burning wood.
1515461992379.png

Bambi is seen taking charge, making sure everyone from his family and friends is safe, leading away the hunter's dogs as more gunfire shoots off in the background of this dramatically intense scene.

As the smoke clears and fire settles, Spring emerges with the forest critters gathering for a grand reveal. The nest turns to see Bambi as The Great Prince of the Forest, with 'Love is a Song' playing in the background. As you turn towards the unload area, you see Bambi standing on a rock formation high above his forest, and Faline with newborn twins, as Bambi has grown into his true destiny.

Mickey and the Beanstalk
beanstalk-aaa.jpg

Attraction Themes: Musical, Fantasy Adventure, Suspenseful

Taking the show building of Snow White's Scary Adventures in Fantasyland, Mickey and the Beanstalk is a dark ride that focuses on the said section from the 1947 Walt Disney film Fun and Fancy Free.

Guests approach the attraction as an extension of Cinderella Castle in the courtyard section of Fantasyland, with a rendition of the singing harp's 'My What a Happy Day' playing out front of the queue.

Yet while the medieval aesthetic is apparent on the outside of the attraction, the interior is lined with clouds and a large green beanstalk, signifying that the attraction is dropping the guests right in the middle of the action of the film. As you board an over-sized leaf from the beanstalk, you are extended into the attraction, winding the corner and through the clouds that act as the doorways to a 'magic kingdom' as Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, lead you again.

In the 'magic kingdom' everything is enlarged around you as you enter a castle setting and glide through to a dining room, where utensils and other items are 2 or 3x the size of you and your vehicle. Continuing through the kitchen area you hear a large figure slamming their feet on the ground, walking towards you. Mickey, Donald, and Goofy take shelter with you.

"Fee...Fi... Fo... Fum" says an intimidating voice (that of Willie the Giant) yet as you transition to the next scene as you try to hide behind the silverware you see in the distance a giant cardboard figure of Willie dancing around with his ball in a 'fun and free' fancy fashion.

The ride turns from almost a horror attraction, into a hilarious song and dance experience where you continue to try and avoid this oblivious giant who is trying to catch you but doesn't have a clue. However, he catching Donald and Goofy and tosses them into a chest, causing Mickey to have to find a key and save them. In the next scene, the harp begins to sing 'My Favorite Dream' to Willie and eventually puts him to sleep, allowing just enough time for you, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy to escape this 'magic' kingdom.

Nevertheless, at the last moment, Willie wakes up and takes a swipe at you as the attraction ends, leaving you in doubt of whether you actually survived the encounter with Willie or not. As the attraction ends, guests can walk out into the giftshop Sir Mickey's, which is actually located (in the current day) next to the former Snow White's Scary Adventures show-building.

Dalmatian Dash

Attraction Themes: Comedy, Wacky Adventure, Companionship

Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians may be one of the more forgotten classics of the Walt era, and is more than deserving of the 'London transition' attraction from Fantasyland to Liberty Square, that is currently occupied by Peter Pan's Flight, and was originally intended to be occupied by Mary Poppins.

101 Dalmatians was touted as the studio's best film since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from critics upon initial release, and is home to one of the American Film Institute's Top 100 Villains of all time - Cruella De Vil.

Analogous to 'cruel devil' - Cruella De Vil's demeanor and presence in the film is one of the defining traits of the attraction, as guests will be placed in the thick of a chase between the dalmatians and Cruella as she attempts to capture them in the snowy London countryside.

Boarding through the switchback queue design, on the wall behind the tracked dark ride vehicles, you see a mural of how Roger Radcliffe and Anita met, through Pongo and Perdita, and transitioning into their current home with a litter of 15 puppies.

Boarding an old English automobile, you drive down the London street corner where Cruella De Vil can be seen in the corner of the Radcliffe house through the window talking to Anita and asking for the dogs. On the second floor, you can also see Roger playing the trombone and 'trolling' the conversation downstairs with his 'Cruella De Vil' song.

The scene then transitions to Jasper and Horace, Cruella's bumbling henchmen, capturing the litter of puppies. Pongo and Perdita going on a hunt to find them, only to realize that in Cruella's De Vil Place estate, there are 84 other puppies. As Cruella bashes her minions for their lack of awareness in letting the dogs escape, you enter into a wild chase around the countryside up and down hills and mountains following a truck that contains the 101 Dalmatians. Cruella's car juts out from the left side as you make a sharp right turn, with Jasper and Horace on your right.
101-Dalmatians-101-dalmatians-4761117-784-588.jpg

Stuck in-between the two vehicles with the truck up ahead, your vehicle speeds up into a tunnel and you hear a crash behind you and Cruella yelling at her minions in a comedic fashion. Just as you think you are home free- Cruella comes back once again, but is now hit by Jasper and Horace, forcing her car to careen off the edge and into a ditch.

101-Dalmatians.jpg

The dalmatians are saved as you see Roger and Anita reunited with 101 Dalmatians in their home as the attraction ends on an uplifting note.

Considering Cinderella was the second princess movie to be released, there should be more representation throughout the park than just being able to potentially meet her at the Royal Hall. With that, I present to you…

Cinderella - The Mouse Dress Dream

vWbKHuU1-1nrPBE1mSTWnxLGD3AQtgZUFDQrQDtkz3-OSZUjZgLFS5tE2azoTb6DxRft8OE6HXWTrzqCN7mPL-6xON1gRjA11xhFL05spNyLToUw5BtNgzR8sChZCDn89lc_-c0Q

This would not be a typical Fantasyland Dark ride where guests follow Cinderella. With this version, guests will follow Jaq, Gus, and the rest of the animals to help make Cinderella’s original dress.

With the Ratatouille Ride coming to Walt Disney World, Disneyland is the only resort without a D/E-ticket trackless ride (I’d consider Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters a C-ticket attraction). Using the space of the Village Haus, Pinocchio’s Daring Journey, and Snow White’s Scary Adventure, the Western side of Fantasyland will be transformed to one, large-scale, E-Ticket attraction.

yOG5xGeNY1P4_qrtSffCRUQUhsfPJXYL7XaFWu4kHFqTd48o-SVYA03qPjk289qbSl7H1GfUlnjVDlEDseRILKPUJp_7NIVRXx1mMWpzEDTtUtrTVlcz3rRUKcedNWIFXxZ9o0Tu

The biggest fear here is the space. How much room is there really? To get a feel for the size, I first looked at the size of the Ratatouille ride building in France looking at everything but the restaurant as I knew that wouldn’t fit regardless.

mr8VJSzYQBn_Ubb6R7NHEcMx7PtUTexxh1GpOQD9xPlQ1VD4cP6_E3dJ3rNu5miUMbMh6nEQRHJwbGhUjX527xXW4dRcFzkPY3Vdkn20jcyl9rUzJbmRD3R7csqFT1fAN-rvzpl5

The important number here is 49,031.63 square feet. That includes the entire ride, maintenance bay, and the queue (indoor and outdoor). By comparison, if the area in Disneyland gets expanded to the backstage area and the front of the building gets expanded into the seating area of the Village House, that footprint of that area will amass to 49,273.10 square feet. Lots of room for a queue, full-scale ride, and maintenance bay.

Due to it being themed after Cinderella, the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique will stay where it is and will now become the exit to the attraction.

Attraction Type - Trackless Dark Ride
Attraction Ticket - E-Ticket
Height Restriction: None
Hourly Capacity - 2000 guests
Attraction Runtime - 4m 35s
FastPass - Yes
Single Rider - Yes
Handicap Accessible - Wheelchair Accessible

Queue
This attraction features three queues in Single Rider, Fastpass, and Standby. As seen on the map, the Single Rider line will be on the “outside track” of the three queues, as well as being the smallest of the three. Due to its small size, if the queue starts to get too full, cast members at the entrance can temporarily close the line to funnel the Single Riders through before the line goes into the main walkway. To keep the facade still fitting the Alpine Village theme, the Single Rider queue will look similar to the current queue of Snow White’s Scary Adventure. The queue will feature an arched roof as well as it will be open so that guests can view the rest of Fantasyland while waiting in line as seen in the image below.
npljFvx9l4PLQJHUNzYtKEY1Vta7I1mOJY3mPNDYPrGp9DlMiklRO2okaq_Aw1Su4oQHfLE_5Q1MVUkFWWrjJEvzHUl4RZmVYcidVjV6XkmrnlA_d64xpH83VbJ4CyKyyYZ2oUY3

The Fastpass line is the next line just to the right of the Single Rider line. The Fastpass line will be the same length as the Single Rider line but be wider to feature switchbacks the entire length of the queue. The entirety of the Fastpass queue will be located in the open air area that the Single Rider queue is also located in.

Lastly, the standby queue will be located to the right of the Fastpass line, but further down the facade. Upon entering the queue, guests find themselves in a large room full of switchbacks to make use of the entire room. The walls along the front half of the room will contain different pieces of art from the film. In between these concept wall areas, there will be interactive play elements including windows to see Cinderella, or Prince Charming, or The Fairy Godmother. As guests approach the back of the room, they notice two large-scale animatronics.

Similar to how there is a Mr. Potato Head animatronic in the queue for Toy Story Midway Mania, in the queue will be an animatronic version of Gus and Jaq. Thee animatronics will give a brief backstory of what is happening in the attraction, have some fun with each other/ tell jokes to each other, and have some fun with the audience. Upon going through this large area, guests then enter the same, large area to meet up with the Single Rider and Fastpass line.

Ride Vehicles
With the idea of the attraction designed to follow the mice of the movie, the ride cars will be designed similar to those of the Ratatouille ride where the vehicles are shaped like mice. Each vehicle will have two rows of three people each to allow for a total of 6 riders per vehicle.

Upon entering the load area, guests will be met by a Cast Member to properly place people into bunches to effectively load ride vehicles (like seen above). There will be six loading platforms where all the vehicles come in together, and all vehicles then leave and go through the ride together.

Scene 1
After being loaded, guests come into scene 1 where there are screens on either side of them. This is where guests first meet up with Gus and Jaq. At this time, guests are following the two mice through the wall. Each of the 6 vehicles will take slight variations of the same route travelling through this room as seen on the map.

Scene 2
Coming into the second scene, the vehicles to split into 2 groups of three for the first time. Here, the vehicles will pull into their own individual “parking spots” to see the screens. Here, the screen shows guests peering through a hole in the wall at Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella.

a995rVFUa2YGNAPTiVRDPLntIhioojQ6W7OlKh9Q27l6VHtzjZ2KSkl6eDDy5cDyi3j1OKpwZup0wTuXiJK63PBNE9cbDAunL3DnaBtETW44hnjgN_AJhVbWDYGIcFrbJ4-9DDnD

Jaq appears on the right of the screen, “The Tremaines. All they ever do is overwork poor Cinderelly.”

“We also have to watch out for their cat, Lucifer,” exclaims Gus as he appears to the guests left.

“Good point Gus! We better get going!” Jaq turns back towards the guests, “We need your help. Anastasia and Drizella got rid of an old sash and necklace they no longer liked. But it’d be perfect for Cinderelly’s dress!”

With that, the vehicles back out of their spots to continue on to scene 3.

Scene 3
Guests start to head into the scene to see Gus on their left and Jaq on their right. Guests follow Jaq and Gus as they scurry along through the scene. At about the halfway point of the scene, the guests and mice find the sash to take back. Because of its size, Gus and Jaq agree that the sash needs to be carried by both of them where guests then see them “throw” the sash over the track. When the sash is “thrown over” the guests, guests can look up above them to see a large, cloth that looks like a sash appears above them. Using the same mirror trick you can see on Journey into Imagination, a vertical mirror will hide the sash.

(Imagine like this, but the reverse where there isn’t an object there and now there suddenly is)

The sash will then follow guests from the mirror point to the end of the scene. After guests reach the end of the scene, the sash resets back to being behind the mirror. At the end of the scene, the final wall has two mouse holes where the vehicles split into 2 groups of 3 again.

Scene 4
Upon entering the scene, the ride vehicles park facing the screens again.

As the vehicles pull into the spots, guests see Lucifer sleeping in the middle of living room. On the right side of the screen, guests will see Gus and Jaq sneak towards the beads. Luckily, they make it there in time. As they start to make their way back with the beads, guests ride vehicles start to move back from their spots.

As the vehicles start to move, Lucifer wakes up. “RUN!” yells Jaq as the vehicles back up faster. Lucifer gets closer and closer towards the guests/ screen as the ride vehicles hit the main track. After hitting the track, ride vehicles do a small spin before heading to scene 5.

(This scene would be loosely based off of this scene from the original film. This will also be used for the next scene)

Scene 5
Coming into the scene guests notice a screen to their left and a large animatronic on the right. On the screen to the right, guests see Gus carrying the beaded necklace all the way across the screen to the end of the scene.

The animatronic on the right features Lucifer’s face with Jaq on top of him covering his eyes. The animatronic will feature Jaq first closing Lucifer’s eyes and then the animatronic will then having Jaq’s head look around the room.

Scene 6

Now all the supplies are together and it’s time to build the dress! The ride vehicles see spools of thread in the middle of the pathway causing the vehicles to split up into two groups of three one last time. Also for the last time, ride vehicles pull into spots to view the screens.

This scene will be based on “The Work Song” from the scene. Guests will see the animals dancing and singing while finishing up Cinderella’s pink dress. Here guests will see a few minor sews done but the main additions will be the sash and necklace to complete the entire journey.

Scene 7

Now that the dress is done, it’s time to celebrate!! Guests will come into the room seeing a live version of the mice and Cinderella wearing her new dress. Cinderella is an animatronic, but will be on a stationary platform will all the mice are animatronics on their own platforms that perform like the guests ride vehicles. After all ride vehicles enter the scene, they will dance around the dress for two loops with the mice intertwined between ride vehicles dancing along. While this is happening, Cinderella is seen clapping her hands to the beat of the song while moving her head along with the music.

This part would be similar to how Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters works but with full loops around the stationary dress being made.

Unload

Like the loading platform, there will be 6 unloading platforms to hold all 6 of the ride vehicles. After guests exit, the ride vehicles go back out to the main track before heading around the corner back to the load platforms.

Exit

After leaving the unloading platform, guests will exit through a new and expanded Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Most of the shop will remain the same but the newly expanded back area of the shop will now feature more Cinderella-themed merchandise.

It's my sincere pleasure to announce @Pionmycake as the official cohost for the Uniting Universal podcasts! Having been absent from the boards around the same time and he and I both being otherwise actively involved in the community, we thought we'd make a great pairing when it comes to tackling the project you guys works so hard to put out. For the time being the plan is to do three podcasts...one on each of the major parks and one on Seuss Landing plus all the resort stuff. We should be doing the first one some time before the review podcast for Project Two with Jacob and I.

I’ve just completed finetuning my Fantasia Waltz proposal (not sure how to link to specific comments since the site update). It mostly amounted to additional art for the title, facade and layout, plus some altered writeup because of that layout.

Looks like some other proposals have seen some modification since early this week! Gonna go read those now!

It's time to reveal the next prompt.

Project Three: Virtually Magic Kingdoms
mushroom-kingdom-hearts_mini.jpg

This project will be centered around the idea of video games and the Magic Kingdom, and making them go hand in hand with each other.

Purists: Your goal is to go back to a time before Space Ranger Spin and retroactively create the first interactive E ticket ride at either Disneyland or WDW (keeping the pre-Buzz timeline in mind.) The goal of this project will be to create some kind of gameplay element.

Innovators: With the massive success of the Nintendo Switch, Disney sought to recreate the experience of going to their parks on the smash hit console/handheld hybrid. Your goal for this project is to create an OPEN WORLD game for the Nintendo Switch that either simulates the theme parks or recreates them in a fun "Epic Mickey" style way.

As a twist...this project will be completed in teams! You have 24 hours to sign up for either the purists or the innovators side. Once the teams are formed I'll start the brainstorming threads and announce the due date!

PLEASE STATE RATHER YOU'D LIKE TO BE A PURIST OR INNOVATOR FOR THIS ROUND
