So where do we stand???

North & South America? The rainforest?

That'd be interesting! Tons of possibilities as well. Tree frogs, snakes and maybe even a Leopard! For North America a Grizzly River Run would be nice but that would mean something would have to be done to Kali. But I know a Bald Eagle exhibit would draw in thousands!

Sorry, but I can't sign on for this level of negative outlook. Some significant stuff will get done... I can't say what because I am not an insider, but from a strategic perspective, they can't rest on their laurels for long, and I would imagine that some of these projects are well into the pipeline, and will be announced when they are ready.

One thing I have seen is Disney has kept a pretty good lid on all of their projects, with very few details released, except for the few that Lee and Phil have strangled out of their sources.

Just remember

"There's a great big beautiful tomorrow,
Shining at the end of every day...."

Maybe the Disney company is starting to take on the PIXAR way of keeping things under their giant sorcerer Mickey hat until they absolutely have to or want to. Keeping people guessing can be fun, but it also nice to know that things are on their way.

Keeping people guess would be saying, "Something really great is on the way, but we aren't telling you what."

What they are currently saying is, "We're making money. Who needs new stuff."

BUT, the tide may be changing.

How about an "Ice Age" exhibit? I guess, call it something else . . . so as not to tie in to the competition's movie.

"Eternal Artic" or something like that.

But . . . this could have Arctic elements of today and the past.

Think Mammoths, Saber Tooths, Giant Elk, that sort of thing for the
older aspect, and for today, polar bear, MuskOxen, penguins, etc.

Something indoor with the Northern Lights . . . .

You could even have an "under the ice" submarine voyage with whales, sharks, etc. And, sunken lands of mystery, a la Atlantis.

Or, Shangri-La...which would work nicely with Everest as a backdrop.

Just musing . . . .

Wow, there's some serious rides to negative-town in this thread ... thrown in between everyone that seems to be on a first-name basis with Joe Rohde :lookaroun :)

But anyway, my two sense:

Little Mermaid DR
Monsters INC Coaster
Star Tours II
Imagination 4.0
New "Land" at AK
Fantasy Land Refurb

That`s pretty much the order as I understand it. Maybe swap 2 and 3. Depending on how safe they think the economy is the first few could be open for the 40th. Or in 5 years.

I would swap 2 and 3, as you alluded to. I wouldn't include #4 at this very moment TODAY (subject to change), and I would actually put 6 in front of 5. Whew, that was confusing :dazzle:

And Disney will be smart about when they release details of their upcoming projects, no matter how soon or far they will be.

Except Beastly Kingdomme was an idea before IOA opened. Beastly Kingdomme would have been incredibly detailed, and truly a Disney-type land.

And how do you know that? It could have very well been a budget crippled land much like rafiki or minnie mickeys.
