Heavens no  It's the packet you can get in the asian section at the store  Cut up the chicken and dredge it in flour, fry that, and make the sauce per instructions. But it's really REALLY good.

I have made it from scratch before, and it's just not as good to me. I think it's because of the MSG in the seasoning packet that I don't have on hand to add to my own sauce. :lookaroun

*edit: I guess I am kind of making it myself, since there is a minimal amount of cooking involved. Not from a Chinese takeout place.

Sounds great!..

May I ask where you are and what you are doing?

Im a bush pilot in the DRC flying humanitarian missions.

As much as I love the food around here it just isnt safe to eat. And i only get 15lbs of meat sent to me from the states every other month. So most my food comes from a pouch...cant complain though, it aint that bad.

So exciting about the baby...any names picked out yet?..:D
We did not want to upset anyone with picking a particular family name and I got to choose if it was a boy so I chose Thomas. I was a history major so he will be named after Jefferson and Doubting Thomas because I always want him to question things. (except me, of course).

Anyway, We have to go food shopping tonight so dinner will probably be something prepared already. Maybe a rotisserie chicken.

BTW, what exactly is a po-boy? I have heard of them before but I never knew what it was.

It's our payday dinner out, but it's DH's turn to pick, as long as it's not Hooter's again. He's picked it twice in the past two months.
