Is the view of wishes good from the beach???

Yeah. My wife and I watched Wishes from Sunset Pointe at the poly (where we got married the previous year). It's great seeing the show from a distance to see the spectacular fireworks they have.

And we usually end our trips in the Magic Kingdom wishing we could stay longer.

We end our last night in the parks at EPCOT watching Illuminations. We make sure to grab a spot near Italy and the kids usually slurp on slushies from the American pavilion while I eat a pretzel and drink a beer from the Germany pavilion. After the show we walk out as slowly as possible enjoying all of the beautiful music.

Next morning, we pack up and check out. Usually a buy a few last minute gifts/souveniers then head to Poly. We grab lunch and Capt. Cook's and eat a TON of Dole Whip. Jump in the van and get on the road back home. 16 hours later, we're back in Cincinnati wishing we were still in The World.

2 days 'till next trip. See you all in the parks next week!

In the Parks
Yes
I almost always spend my last day at Downtown Disney

Lunch @ House of Blues - mmmmmmm...chicken strips
Shopping @ WOD
Chocolates & Coffee from Ghiradelli (SP?)
Popcorn bucket full of popcorn to take home to my mom (she loves it)

Then I usually sit in my rental car in the DTD parking lot and cry like a baby b/c I don't wanna go home!!

We always take a late flight home so the night before we always do Wishes and then as everyone is leaving the park we usually just find a park bench on Main Street to soak in the last of the Disney atmosphere (I cry, DH laughs and reminds me that the next trip is usually less than 6 months away and that it's not like we're never coming back). Then the next day we usually take a causal approach to EPCOT or one of the other parks and then a little more crying by me & laughing by the DH when the "mean bus" arrives at the resort to take us back to the airport.

The time of the flight and having a three year old and amount of days you have to spend at Disney in total, all kind of hinder the last day desires. Our flight does take off about 12noon, so I head off to the Polynesian Hotel to eat my Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe. Sit there and relish all the Magical times we had- conspire to hop on the monerail and head into the Magic Kingdom, ( my fav. park)-- knowing that I can't.
If I had diff. circumstances, I think I would hop around a little, go to the Magic Kingdom to get a good dose of Mickey's Magic, hang out at the hotel and enjoy the peacefulness and then pick a great place for dinner and drinks-and then watch "Wishs" fireworks from the Poly. beach.

Hey jus wondering iv heard alot abowt it but wat is tonga toast??

Crush Dude...you need to have Tonga Toast...it is the single greatest (and unhealthiest) food concoction ever created (besides Lefse!)

It is extra thick French Toast, stuffed with a sweet and smooth banana puree, then deep-fried until dark golden and crispy, but contrastingly soft on the inside. drizzle just a bit of fruit compote over the top, and just a kiss of syrup and your morning will be heaven. Get this multiple times at Kona at the Polynesian or Captain Cooks, also at the Poly...if your arteries can handle it brother!

This is me indulging in Tonga Toast my friend...

Could not think of a better way to spend the 4th.

Our last full day varies from trip to trip but the night always ends with a nice dinner and MK for Spectro, Wishes and the goodnight kiss. We always sit in the park as long as possible and begin to talk about our next trip. There are always tears from everyone but also a very deep satisfaction with the time we have just spent together. The next morning before we drive home we usually head to DTD for everyone to pick "one last thing". LAst year my oldest ended up with the monorail set.

love it, I've spent 2 July 4ths at the world, the first one we went to MK. Big mistake! there were actually cast members yelling, "don't come this way you can't get out" The next year we stayed at the resort all day (we were staying at the Contemporary) and watched the fireworks from the Observation deck. You can not beat the MK fireworks they are insane! I think the Poly beach is a better place to watch them that the observation deck at the Contemporary. And everything is better with a Lapu Lapu!

Yes you MUST get this at any cost! And yeah, it's only at the Poly...Kona and at Captain Cook's downstairs. They are the same one, but you don't get the special fruit compote with the Tonga at Captain Cook's, but you can ask for a a similar strawberry puree. But the fruit compote at Kona is much better. Tonga Toast is the absolute best...I expect a picture of you eating this, and drinking the Lapu-Lapu...later on of course! Enjoy!
