Last day is normally DHS for rope drop. A couple of rides on TOT and I hop over to EPCOT for a ride on SSE and JIYI. Next, I head to DtD to WOD for a few things. Normally, I am on I-4 heading home around 1 or 2.

I like to park hop, so I do not spend the whole day in one park. I begin in either Animal Kingdom or Epcot and hit the favorites (EE, KRR, and Dinosaur in AK or Soarin, Maelstrom, and Journey Into Imagination in Epcot). I usually head back to the hotel early for one last swim - I am in Michigan so it can be a long time before I get the chance again.

In late afternoon, I always finish at Magic Kingdom, the most magical park. I hit a few faves (Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates) and mostly soak up the atmosphere. I end with dinner at Tony's - long time tradition and catching the parade and some shopping on Main street. It's making me miss it just thinking about it!

Well when I go in August I have our itinerary setup to have dinner at Yachtsman's Steakhouse on our last night. I tried to get California Grill but it was all booked up. But I have heard some great things about the Yachtsman's so we're excited. We sacrificed two dinners for it on our dining plan.

We don't fly out until 9pm on our last day. We'll spend it at The Magic Kingdom. You have to end it at MK ;)

Last full day for me is in the Magic Kingdom. Final ride is on the TTA. I usually leave the park before Wishes starts because that just turns me into a wreck, knowing that I leave for home the next morning.

That next morning my ride picks me up at 11:00 or so for the ride to the train station to wait for the southbound train to bring me back home.

Our last night at WDW is typically spent at Epcot. But it's nothing but MK on our last day.

I try to schedule a flight in the evening so we can stay on property just a little longer. :) On our last trip we arrived just after opening, saw the Trolley Show while we ate at the Main Street Bakery. Rode some rides that didn't have long waits, then we took the monorail over to the Contemporary to explore and take some pictures. Up next was the Grand Floridian for lunch near the marina and more picture taking. Then it was time to head back to the WL and wait for the towncar to take us back to MCO.

If my last night at WDW, I'd make sure to spend my night with my fellow adventurers at the Adventurers Club. Oh, wait. That's closed. Talk to me in December about this.

If it was my last day at WDW and I leave on the jet plane for home (before sunset) I'd check out early, store my bags, hit one of the parks for morning EOM, then maybe hit one or two more parks if in the vicinity, maybe squeeze in a trip to the WDW Village Marketplace for some last minute shopping, then call the taxi and get me to the airport.

That's what I did on my last night and day at WDW back in August 2008. Well worth it.

Our last day is always Epcot. Riding Test Track as many times as we can, Spaceship Earth at least 3 times and all the others. We shop around the World Showcase, have lunch and around 5pm head out of the parks and pick up some dinner and then back to the room to pack our car. After having spent 8 very long days in the World, we're all tired and ready to return to reality, but we know we'll be back so all is good!!!! :)

The time of the flight and having a three year old and amount of days you have to spend at Disney in total, all kind of hinder the last day desires. Our flight does take off about 12noon, so I head off to the Polynesian Hotel to eat my Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe. Sit there and relish all the Magical times we had- conspire to hop on the monerail and head into the Magic Kingdom, ( my fav. park)-- knowing that I can't.
If I had diff. circumstances, I think I would hop around a little, go to the Magic Kingdom to get a good dose of Mickey's Magic, hang out at the hotel and enjoy the peacefulness and then pick a great place for dinner and drinks-and then watch "Wishs" fireworks from the Poly. beach.

First of all, Great thread :D

Being young and only really being with friends on my last few trips really gives us the freedom to do what we want on our last day. The last day is used to let it all out and leave nothing behind. We try to squeeze in as many of the rides starting early at epcot, then on to AK and toping the day off at either MK or DHS (MK is my preference with the last ride of the trip being space).

In my opinion if you know it wont be 6-12 months before your next trip you need to make that last day worth it

However my trip coming up (although not for 6 months) will be the first with the gf and im not sure she will be up for all this :ROFLOL:

Is the view of wishes good from the beach???

World Showcase is a very nice place to spend your last day, especially if you are looking for a more relaxing, low key end to your trip. Hit SSE on the way in, go straight to World Showcase and take your time, then hit SSE again on the way out.

last day

I have to agree with you 100%. Trip HAS to end in the Magic Kingdom. Only difference is I end my day with Wishes. Seems a happier note to end on than the Goodnight Kiss to me.

I also have to agree. We always spend our last day at the Magic Kingdom and we are there until we are about to fall down. I actually changed my reservation this year so that my last day wouldn't be on the 4th of July. The past few times I have been there for the fourth they had to close Magic Kingdom at some point due to high capacity crowds. I didn't want my last day to be like that.
