So, how often do resorts change their comforters?

Not often enough! I told this story in my trip report. I checked into Pop Century in December 2010 and found cookie crumbs all over the bedspread and in the sheets.
I'm sure they will change it if you request it.

Depends on what you mean here. In the deluxe resorts, the sheets are changed after each guest. I also believe the duvet cover is switched out as well. In resorts that still have the cloth blanket, I believe the sheets and those are changed out after each guest as well. The decorative covers aren't switched frequently at all...and in any hotel I suggest not using them for cover. They are really there to be decorative only.

I asked at the front dest once when I was checking in. They said that they changed them between guests. I am not sure if they were telling the truth but it made me feel better.

I roll around in them. The immune system needs a good workout from time to time to stay healthy.:lookaroun

Hahaha very funny. I usually just sleep with the comforter too:eek:, but it's probably not the best idea. I always thought the rule of thumb was after each guest, but with value resorts, you never know...

Well at the Polynesian they change sheets after each guest and every 4 days if the guest is there that long. The blankets and bed spreads get changed if the housekeeper finds stains and they do get swapped out for new ones every so often. I just don’t know how often that is. If the house keeper feels the room needs a “deep cleaning” everything gets changed out down to the mattress protector.

So if you wet the bed after a night drinking in EPCOT, I mean your child had an accident, that might be subject to a deep clean?

There was another thread about this where somone wrote to WDW Mousekeeping, and got a response back that the comforters were changed between each guest.

I guess its good I only use a sheet to sleep with because I get way to hot at night otherwise, lol.

Thinking about it though, I dont remember ever seeing a stack of comforters on the housekeeping carts at ANY hotel I ever stayed at including Disney. I've always noticed sheets and towels and soap and things like that but never a stack of comforters.

During my stay at POP last year I saw a few Mousekeepers with two carts that were completely full of comforters. They were headed to the rooms on our floor. I just don't know what the time frame was between swap outs.

I always take my own blanket, just a small one similar size of a picnic blanket, just to snuggle around my shoulders, then I use their sheets over my legs! I would never snuggle up to their covers! Eeewwww! I even take my own pillow case! Plus I go in September so too hot any way!

Snap! It's certainly more of a comfort thing than a hygiene thing! I'm away from home for 3 weeks so I need my stuff! If only I could stuff my dog into my case
