So Depressed

Had a pile of metal folding chairs in the hatchback. Opened up the hatch and the pile fell on my right foot breaking two toes.

I just started a month ago jogging again and now this will set me back 4-6 weeks. :(

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement!

I'm looking to do the ToT 10 mile run in September so I'm anxious to get back on my feet.

That sucks, sorry to hear about it. :( As everyone else has said, take the time to recover and I'm sure you'll be all set for ToT!

I'm so sorry!! Injuries suck!! I have had something similar happen to me before as well. No fun :( And right now I'm nursing what I'm hoping isn't a hairline (stress) fracture... :(

Ouch...that sucks. Don't let it stop you from doing what you can. Do chair workouts on your arms...

Crosstrain, so that when you start running again, the cardio aspect of it won't be that hard.

Thanks everybody!

The toes are feeling better. I have been doing more upperbody workouts and I've been walking on a treadmill (no incline) for 2-3 miles at a time.

While walking, sometimes I get that urge to turn up the speed and start jogging - :)

I do appreciate the support - I'm now over my depression. :D
