They were discussing Ashlee Simpson on Tough Crowd tonight. One of the comedians said, "I'm mad at her sister, Jessica for splitting up 98º. They were my favorite band. She's like the Yoko Ono of 98º!"

It's official. This morning on the Today show. ACID REFLUX. Apparently she couldn't speak at all that night. Yet she could appologize at the end of the show??? She also said she was singing, somewhat, with the track. Wouldn't there be an echo??? Keep lieing(SP?), ash. It'll do you so much good. I pity anyone who believes this horse manuer!!!!!!!!!

And BTW, I just love how she stole her look for the american music awards from Evanescence's Amy Lee... :hammer: Classic!!!!!!!

if you sing correctly, then your voice isn't harmed.

As for acid reflux, I have hard time believing that she would still be "performing" if the problem was so serious that she can't even sing.

Not to mention the fact that she once said in a magazine that she would never lip synch. HYPOCRITE!

Heading for the great escape.
Bad throat, the band were mad the wind blew in from the East, nothing to do with the fact that shes another talentless bimbo trading on image at the expence of true musicians.

Tis a shallow world in deed.

At least Queen used to leave the stage when they used taped orchestrations.

If she couldn't sing due to acid reflex... how could she talk at the end of the show to blame the band... :lookaroun

I think she just wanted to be in the light her famous slightly more talented sister is in....

(she would be more famous if she stayed blond....)

Bottom line is.. she can't sing.. her "success" is based on the popularity of her sister. IMO her true colors were shown during that performance. But honestly.. thats just my opinion.

I know what you mean...

Jessica Simpson doesn't have a good voice...she has a LOUD voice. Everytime she belts something out, it sounds as if someone is beating a wild animal to death with a wicker stick. She screams. Her voice is annoying and her songs are even more so.

Having seen Eden Espinosa (in Brooklyn), Kristin Chenowith and Idina Menzel (in Wicked), and Sutton Foster live....I must say THOSE are people who can truly sing well.

Does anyone else feel a little sorry for the girl? She's still young. And from what I understand, what did did was pretty much standard for the industry. These people get slammed if they cancel due to illness/hoarseness, they get slammed if they go on anyway and sound like crap, and they get slammed if they do what she did (and get caught). I'm not saying that she made the right decision, but sometimes, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

At any rate, I still think she's better than Jessica. :p

no...I don't feel sorry in the least. As I mentioned, there are people that are very capable of performing without lip synching and the aid of studio computer enhancements. Why should she be famous for doing nothing?

The fact of the matter is this: She's not talented. She shouldn't be in the industry.

IMO, she should stop this "talent" charade. Then, she should get an education. From there, she can pursue a talent of hers that actually exists.

(unless of course she has an IQ of 160...just like her Big Sis, eh?;))

I don't feel sorry for this brat in the least. She blamed everyone and everything besides herself for what happened. She makes me sick and I hope her career is over! Did you know that she posted on her official message board on Sunday that she would personally delete any message that even mentioned SNL and also said that she was too far in her career and knows too many important poeple to stop her now? What a stupid B#*H!

Do I feel sorry for a talentless little scourge finally showing people what po(o)p really is? Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!! She was damned the millisecond she entered the industry only on her last name. Not to mention the fact that she lied on national tv yesterday morning (Today show) saying that she couldn't even talk that much, yet she could sing along with the track (there would be an echo) and appologize at the end of SNL and sound fine....

I'm with you all the way on this one Erika. The industry is harsh, and unfortunately she is too young and too inexperienced to move around a flap like that. I really like her sound (be it studio or her), and I honestly hope that she can get past this whole situation. Compared to most of the other performers out now, she is different and provides a happy medium between the uber-angry Avril and the eternally-blonde bimbos. Honestly, I'm amazed that some of you are so angry about her fame. At least she's different.

 OK, so I guess I am alone (except for Legacy). I just feel like she's still a kid. I have a hard time believing she's the one calling the shots.
