Hello, friends. Just took my Ecology midterm. It went a little better than expected.
If I can find my flash drive, I'm going to watch my bootleg copy of Spring Awakening on Broadway, and if I can't find that, I'm going to watch A Goofy Movie. Quite the dichotomy.

Hey Susan!
My day is going alright... mainly been applying for as many jobs as I can possibly find... it's like... 88% I'm moving home, still have about a month window... if by the end of June I don't have at least like some second round interviews lined up, I'm 100% out. Even likely before then though cuz my roommates HAVE to find someone new too...
Which, as I talked about earlier this week; isn't ideal... sucks... BUT there are A LOT of perks to it... so... it won't be soooo bad.

Ok, i had a really really bad day. But I don't want to talk about that. What I want to share is this:
Grant saw someone on a motorcycle drop some keys about a month ago. He went and got them and then I put them on Craigslist and then finally got around to putting them in the paper about a week and a half ago. On the keyring was an old gold(so I thought) ring with the words "1944 Sicily" carved on it. Just this morning I got a call from an older man and he and I sort of argued about the ring...he said it had his brother's initials on it. We finally agreed to meet at the church up the street so he could take a look.
All day I'm like "No way these are his keys...but I'll humor him". We get to the church and in pulls this motocycle...my jaw dropped...because two seconds before I said to Grant "We may not be able to see the initials but I bet if this is his brother's ring they would be the detail he remembered." I just knew it was him when I saw the bike, and it was.
The whole exchange lasted maybe two minutes, but I was so overcome with emotion. He told us the ring was actually a brass nut carved into a ring by his brother during WW II when he was holed up against the Germans and didn't think he would make it out. ANd then he asked what he owed us. I said "nothing but a hug". So we hugged and I got back in the truck and when Grant got back in he said "Did you see that? He had tears in his eyes."
God is so good. In big ways and small. I really needed this to happen today.
I'll vent my crappy day story later!
