Snack price increases?

This is very concerning. If $1 hits a family hard. $1 on something that let's say, if a Mickey Bar is a must, is purchased once during the vacation. So a total of $3-$5. If that hits a family hard, then I am extremely worried about our economy at the moment.

Did you miss that whole discussion about the poor camel and his back?

Interesting. I will have over 150 nights in Marriott properties before the end of this year and probably another twenty in non Marriott properties. I so look forward more to my Kona Cafe breakfast than I do my Mariott breakfast and dollar for dollar Kona is ten times better than anything ive had at a Marriott property.
I get a free breakfast at Marriott, unllike the Kona

The camel should not be going to Disney. Sorry, he just shouldn't.

If a Mickey Bar is the straw, then yes, the time has come to search for greener pastures.
Well thats just speciesist ... If a camel wants to go to Disney then why shouldn't it ??

Over the course of a week of buying snacks for a family of 4 or more, and increases in table service and souvenirs, could amount to hundreds of dollars. For people who don't have that kind of money who just want the kids to see WDW for maybe the only time in their life, yes it's a lot.

I'm sorry but there is a simple solution to this-- Pick and choose what you "can" do. Maybe 1 Mickey ice cream. 1 table service meal. 1 souvenir. I think "the kids" would still have a fantastic time that way!

Out of curiosity, when is the last time you have a bought a car? And when was the time before that? Have you not noticed the insane, and I mean insane, price point on automobiles over the past several years?

I bought one in 2010 and 2013. I found prices in line with all the other cars I have bought - but that's because I typically buy a mid-size non-luxury sedan. Premium options are of course available and would raise the price - but they actually GIVE you something for the premium price. It's not more money to buy the exact same car while sitting in a pop-up carport surrounded by velvet ropes in the middle of the dealership with a free ice cream bar.

This is why I think these threads get so ridiculous.

Vacations are being compared to forest fires and a mode of personal transportation.

Can we deal in actual logic and perspective please?

You brought up the price of cars.

Yes I did. As an example of a very high percentage increase in price. Not as a choice between having a car or public transportation compared to taking a WDW vacay or not.

If 2010 was your first time buying a car then you may not have felt it as much. I'm old..and had my first car in the 90s. I promise you that back then the avg car payment per month in America was not $479...and people weren't doing 72 months, 84, and 90something month terms. Things change. Prices raise. We have to accept it.

So if you are comparing the Townplace, Fairfield, Springhill stuff to Kona, then you have confirmed, to me at least, you have no clue.
I said the MARRIOTT. That is a hotel. They own the other brands, but I was only talking about the Marriott. I guess you are the one who's clueless.

You can't even understand your own logic, I don't expect you to understand others.
I don't come online to twist things into a nonsensical mess.

You are saying that a car is an option, the same way WDW is an option.

If you believe the 2 are the same type of "options"then you and bandini need to go hang out in your alternate reality together. It's too comical at this point. I don't know if you're serious or just bored and trying to argue. Either way is a little sad.
