I agree with a lot of the posts here in that the characters look cool close up, but the castle (at least from the photos) doesn't look that good from a distance. Almost kinda messy.

Again, final judgement when I see it in person one of these days!
I completely agree. And I've heard the same from people that have seen it in real life, but I'm going to save my final judgement until I see it done in real life. The characters look like clumps of gold sitting there...

Thanks for the pictures! I'm not so sure about the new hub. It looks a little bland to me. I hope even after the walls come down they will spruce it up a little.

Thanks for the update
Pictures are great :)

I think it's coming along nicely, at the end of the day, it's not there forever..so, if you like it, enjoy it, if ya hate it..it'll be gone soon enough

a little cluttered for my taste....................... but i guess you cant leave any character out or they might file lawsuit against disney............

I think that the gold decorations will not seem so over the top once they get that huge gold piece installed up front. As for the characters being a bit oddly placed....they're cartoon characters ...sure a rabbit can't climb up the castle walls...but then again a rabbit wouldn't be dressed and playing a horn in real life either. Although I do have to say that Little mermaid and her crew would have been cooler if they were installed in the moat around the castle looking up towards the castle.

I have to say I really like the decorations... when I was there last weekend I diddnt see any characters but I did see allot of the decorations... I was with a friend who had not been before and she said the castle looked much smaller than she thought.... she was right... I think we are running into one of the same problems that we did with the 25th overlay... The castle's forced perspective doesnt work as well (allthough its not nearly as bad as it was for the 25th) however I know that this is not permanant and I like it while it lasts... I will be down the 28th-2nd to "inspect" the castles characters myself :p

My GF thought the same thing, 'cept there weren't any decorations on it!

Bummer, I had to leave right at exactly the wrong time

>> Always , ALWAYS go to the World when there's a 100% chance of rain, accompanied with a tornado watch for most of the day!! After about 2pm, it turned out to be a fantastic afternoon!

I'm rather bummed that I had to leave the parks at 2:00 -- I'd thought that the rest of the afternoon would turn out great, but I had to drop my mother off at the hotel and get my daughters home to SoFla. It looked like the next coupla hours would have been excellent.

I liked the way the castle came out -- I did get to see it with and without characters, and I generally like the addition. My daughters and I had fun trying to spot all of the characters we could. Of course, they love to walk around the tree of life and identify as many animals as they can, as well.
