I really hate driving in this stuff - you never know with "black ice". I grew up in the Western hilly part of the state, and we got much more snow there, but never this icy, slushy, totally useless and generally yucky stuff.

Forcast is up to 8 -12 inches for us, they've already cancelled school for tomorrow.

Well I officially have had a very crappy day!

We apparently got all the snow that's heading toward everybody else's direction...it snowed about 4-5 inches I think! The sucky part was that it didn't start until like 8:00 which was too late to cancel school so I had to drive to school in it. As soon as I got to campus, I lost control of my car, spun out and ended up in a ditch along the side of the road...thankfully both me and the car are fine. I just missed hitting a tree by about a foot! I would have been very ticked if I had hit the tree because my car is only 2 months old!

Thank god I have Onstar...which is the best invention ever! I called them and they had a tow truck to me within 20 minutes, with considering how much it was snowing at that time, was a pretty incredible feat! So by the time my car was pulled out of the ditch, I had missed an hour of my 1 hr and 15 minute class...which pretty much sucked.

The rest of my day was a little better. I slipped and slid my way to class, managed to finish both the Flash project that I had been working on for one class and the newsletter project I had been working on for the other. So I am almost done with school for the semester...all I have left is a final next Thursday. That was my good news for the day.

Then I had to drive my butt home...thankfully it had stopped snowing, unfortunately, the snow was still on the roadways...I was not happy. Then I went home and went to work.

So, I have had a very stressful day! Sorry for icking up the huggle thread with my bad day stories. I just needed to vent. We now return to regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks! I knew this week would be hard and all, what with it being my last "real" week of school, I just didn't realize that it would culminate to this!

I'm glad you and your car are both okay. I don't know what I would have done if my car spun into a snowy ditch.

Have some hot chocolate. It always seems to help.
