huh. In a normal year, our schools open mid-August with the first semester complete at the Christmas break. They start back right after New Year's and go to the end of May.

This year, to make up for lost time, the schools are cutting short holidays and cutting back on one elective, then having an extra period per day so that every six days, the kids have had an extra session of each class. They hope that by doing so, they can still end classes by early June, but if we get "snow days," then they will be forced to go on Saturdays, too.

Late hump day huggles! :D

In my procrastination, I've decided I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow instead of doing homework. :lookaroun

And many thanks to Vince for the card! :sohappy: *gets an extra-big pair of pants* :lookaroun

Can I put my jacket in your pants? I don't wanna carry it around during the day. :lookaroun

Our "breaks" are a week, maybe a week and a half if we're lucky. I have a 12 period day everyday, but 5,7, and 9 are only ten minutes. (since I eat lunch period 10 I have a 4/5, 6/7 and 8/9 class) Some electives are half year (everyday) and others are half year (every other day) so some kids only get one or two electives depending on Labs.

That makes no sence, but thats just how my school is run. WE dont even understand it. :lookaroun

Yep, it is complicated. After surviving all that, try not to be too bored when you go off to college next year.:D

Good evening huggles all! Anyone getting the storm yet?

Not yet. I don't think it's supposed to start here till the middle of the night. Last I heard we can expect 5 to 7 inches. (snow day for Connor!)
How much are you expecting up there?

I wanna Snow Day tomorrow, as we're having a Christmas party next Friday, and I want to decorate the house. We're getting the tree on Saturday or Sunday (we go to a chop it yourself place) and I want to have a headstart on the decorating.

They're saying 4 to 6, or 5 to 7, or 6 to 8 depending on who you listen to. They never know here because with us being so close to the coast, a lot of our storms start out as snow, then turn to sleet and freezing rain.

Yuk, I'd rather have the snow than the slippery stuff!
