It's called Remembrance Day, Pongo...it's pretty much the same thing, except, we only have one "honor" day. You guys have Veterans Day and Memorial Day (correct me if I forgot others).

John McRae's infamous poem:

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

We do have a lot. Holiday overkill. But I guess you can never honor something "too much".

How'd your toe break, Nemo?
Thanks for asking. It's still pretty sore and a lovely shade of purple. I was running (barefoot) through my living room to answer the phone when the end table jumped out and attacked my toe.

Gotta hate those jumping furniture... that's why I bolted mine to the floor! :lookaroun
