Shredding the Gnar with Magic Friends

Hullo!

Poor Jenn...I can relate hon, I really can. If Emily hadn't gone back today I don't know what I would've done.

So, I got the paper pile down to just bills plus a few bits of paperwork that needs attention. Tax stuff gets dropped off to the accountant tomorrow, made Em's eye appt. (for tomorrow), Jack's 15 month check up (for Thursday) and made a pretty good dent on the pile of crap on top of my dresser.

Baby steps, y'all, baby steps.

Speaking of which, what with Asher starting to crawl, my mom told me about this crazy thing called "blanket training" where you can train a baby to not leave the blanket or designated floor area...this way when you go places you can plop them on a blanket and enjoy yourself. Because really, having a baby is all about YOU.

Good for you! I just realized that our two car payments haven't been paid, because they're local and I haven't been able to get out to pay them...thank goodness there's a grace period.
Blanket training? Good grief....unfortunately that seems to be a general trend with some people...focusing only on themselves...you see it everywhere. Makes you wonder how many kids with developmental delays are due to genuine reasons, like my boy, or because the parents didn't work with them, y'know?

Oh, I bet there's a good bit...how will they develop certain skills if they're not allowed to DO anything????

and tipsy!

*jealous*

Word of advice - never leave your iced tea on the floor, or Gloria will drink it.
Yeah my cats do that, they seem to like sprite....
Gotta run as well...laundry! Yay!
Yay and laundry should NEVER appear in the same sentence.

Somehow the fact that tomorrow is Ash Wednesday TOTALLY slipped by me. I'm so unprepared, and not ready to give up ice cream.

I take it you always give up ice cream?

Wait, no. Last year (think it was last year) you gave up biting your nails, didn't you?

Totally slipped by me too. I dunno what to give upppp. Maybe chocolate. It'll keep me from eating the package of chocolates. :lookaroun

Did you have ice cream for dinner tonight? You've gotta cram some last minute ice cream in!

I'm not starting until tomorrow night since I forgot

I'm bending the rules a little, I know.

Indeed. But isn't it supposed to be hard? If I wanted it to be easy, I'd give up veggies!:lookaroun

Yeah, but like. Chocolate is unnecessarily hard. There's chocolate in everything. You eat it without even realizing. It's just so easy to forget about.

Mmm...okay. You've convinced me. But only because my birthday is this weekend and I want a delicious chocolate dessert at Napa Rose.

Maybe I'll add something instead of taking away.

Probably. Definitely not for anything else I've done.
