Shouldn't Toontown Get Bigger?

We all know that 20klagoon is being re-designed as a 100 acre wood section..But wouldn't it been better off by making Toontown Fair as a bigger Toontown? That way they could at least add 2 more rides. I mean you can fit a Cartoon Spin (Without the Roger Rabbit Franchise) and slap it behind the judges tent! What do you fine people think?

I rarely go into Toontown so it doesn't make a difference to me. The only time I go there is to get a pic with Mickey or something. Otherwise I stay clear from the swarm of ankle-biters! :lol:

As long as the ToonTown Railroad station finally gets the Extreme Home Makeover it deserves (a la Disneyland's), you can have anything you want in the 20K gardens

How about pulling the whole thing down and starting again. Remember this 17 year old area is still based on a `temporary` design.

Even though I am 21 years old, I really enjoy the toontown area. But i do agree it needs a little more. I love the minnie and mickey houses and stuff i think they should make a little village of houses for the basic characters (goofy, donald, daisy, chip and dale) and instead of a judges tent & toontown hall of fame have the characters meet you in their houses or in the back of them. Kind of like the streets in MGM but Toontownish. Just an idea...

Toontown needs to be completely rethought. It needs to be more of a city where the toons live. Think along the lines of Toontown in Roger Rabbit.

I would love to see a HUGE mural/facade like the one at the studios on the streets of new york, or america now... but with the hollywood hills, and big letters replacing 'hollywood' with ToonTown!

this place needs at least two more attractions that are family friendly. A good dark ride, through the streets of toon town would be great... seeing many disney characters! Maybe with the new pixar film cars, you could ride in the cars from the movie?

I don't reall care to walk to Toontown, only for tradition. The Judge's tent is a lame way to me to sell off disney characters. Why would you meet Cinderella in ToonTown when her castle is at the end of Main Street? You should meet Mickey in his house, and Minnie in hers... I also feel like toontown should have a lot of Silly Symphonies architecture. Silly Symphonies did a lot for Walt, and i know when i was younger, (in the 80's) they played the SS on the Disney channel all the time.

toontown should be a place to meet Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow, as well as Clara Cluck.

A House of Mouse Full Service would be a great addition as well, with TOTALLY RANDOM characters... you never know who will pop up... anyone from Mickey to the seven dwarfs, to baloo to maleificent on any given day... with of course a movie screen showing disney cartoons while you eat! the waiters could even dress like penguins...

A House of Mouse Full Service would be a great addition as well, with TOTALLY RANDOM characters... you never know who will pop up... anyone from Mickey to the seven dwarfs, to baloo to maleificent on any given day... with of course a movie screen showing disney cartoons while you eat! the waiters could even dress like penguins...

If done, that restaurant could possibly become the most popular restaurant in the Magic Kingdom practically overnight. What a great concept!

I agree with the tear down, re-design, rebuild idea. Mickey's Birthdayland was only supposed to last a year or so, then they simply re-named it Mickey's Starland, then just did a few overhauls to make it Toontown Fair. They could do so much with that area. I LOVE the House of Mouse idea (and must admit, I had a similar thought).

I always wondered why they limit characters so much, it really makes people not want to go and see them, because whenever one shows up, there is a long line, and most people dont want to stand in it. I think this was a great idea, disney needs to get more character photo opportunities for its guests

last year when the tents were leaking insted of taking out the old roofs, they just built over them, how dumb is that, anyway, i agree with you 100 percent, they should have done it in 96

I love the house of mouse idea and at Halloween (or all of October) it could be the house of Villains.

I love the DL bugs life themed area. Maybe we could incorporate new character preschool rides.

I think they should just tear down Toon Town as it looks cheap and belongs at Cypress gardens or the local fair not a Disney Theme Park.And add quality rides that are the reason we come to Disney Vs. going to say a Six Flags.Classic Disney rides are rides that open the imagination like Space Mountain where you can imagine your traveling through a asteroid field.Toon Town to me offers little imagination.

Why not just copy the superior Toontown from Disneyland? Roger Rabbit is one of the best D Tickets ever, but you could theme that unique ride system to any sort of Character I suppose.

Last time I was at WDW we went into Toontown and we just sort of stood there for two minutes going "Is this it?"

It is quite surprising that WDW's Toontown Fair is FAR inferior to Disneyland's Toontown, especially since WDW gets many more guests than DL Resort gets. Maybe it was done that way just to get more people to come to Disneyland! :animwink:

It also seems that WDW gets a million times more media attention (commercials, TV specials, etc.) than Disneyland, although that has changed a bit since the opening of California Adventure and the upcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration. For instance, the grand opening ceremony for Disneyland's VASTLY superior Toontown aired on KDOC channel 56, a UHF Independent TV station in Anaheim and no where else! If this were at WDW instead, this would have been nationally televised! :brick:

I took the best characteristics from each Toontown, added a few original attractions, and made it BIGGER and BETTER!!!!!

Of the existing Toontown's, the one in Tokyo Disneyland is probably the best; it's similar to Disneyland's, only bigger and better, just like I had done with mine!

I like the courthouse idea, that's really neat. Toontown does need a major overhall, since it was only supposed to be temporary. I like the barnstormer ride and added a dark ride that would be cool. The Mouse House restaurant is an excellent idea and I would definitely eat there, I think MK needs another sit down restaurant.
