Should they even bother showing the daytime parade at the Magic Kingdom?

The last few times I came across the daytime parade at the Magic Kingdom I noticed that it was short and the crowds were low. I just cant sit thru a disney daytime parade. I hated it when I was five and at the time my sister who was 3 wasn't even interested. Although I do or did want to see that Toy Story parade but I haven't got the chance to visit MGM Studios in 2-3 years :(. Of course thats my opinion and my observation, the Magic Kingdom daytime parade could be the most popular show in the whole resort.

I have never seen a day time parade without enough people smiling at it to make it worth it. So you are saying instead of having a parade to make as many people happy as possible, they should cut it all together and just have nothing......DO YOU WORK FOR DISNEY?????????????

No I do not work for Disney :(, thats why I asked LOL and thanks to you now I know :-). I guess I have seen so many great Disney parades I can go on some rides and get the same thrill as the Daytime parade. I also think they could so better then what they have now. It feels dull to me, especially after seeing the Jammin Jungle parade with the creative and artistic floats it has, Tapestry of Nations/Dreams and the 2 light parades that I cant get enough of. If that parade makes many people happy then I would hate to see them cut it, i'm not Michael Eisner LOL.

I'm with you in having no use in the daytime parades. But I think a large portion of the public associates parades as one of those distinctly "Disney" things, like fireworks and meeting characters, that they make time for in their visit. So I doubt parades are ever something Disney removes completely.

I am not a fan of daytime parades. It is just TOO HOT. However, if the parades are good - I love them. Disney Dreams Comes True Parade and the 25th Anniversary Parade were great. But the current MK parade is a waste. I use that time to hit the mountains.

HS parade.. I HATE IT!! AK parade is enjoyable though.

Like 'em or hate 'em - they are a Disney tradition. During busy times, good luck finding a good spot to see it. During slow periods its easy to find a place to stand, so it just depends on the time of year you go. I am a huge fan of parades (which is really weird because I didnt like them as a kid). Now, as an adult, I can appreciate what a production it is. And as a side note, they are also important to people with children. When I took my nephew, it was the only time he could see all the "big" characters without going to every single meet and greet location.

I loved that parade with the giant balloons. It reminded me of the New York City Thanksgiving Day parade. The costumes for that parade were great to. I wish they could run Tapestry of Dreams at the Magic Kingdom and tweak it so it could fit in with the Magic Kingdom theme.

I love the parades...it's a great time to hit some attractions while 20% of the people are on Main St. :D

During Spectro Magic I always watch at the very front then make a quick escape to Frontierland. On the way I get to see the parade all over again with in 10 seconds LOL. Then I watch Wishes from the back castle. After that I sprint to Space Mountain. I just have to make sure don't run back to Frontierland by walking thru the front of the castle because I will run into parade traffic. I have the match all calculated. This year I slept until 12, got to the Magic kingdom at 4:00 and hit all the rides and saw all the shows I wanted to see and still had some time to relax in the park.

I don't care if I am the only one watching the parade go by (which would be awesome by the way) Disney should never never NEVER EVER remove the afternoon parade from the Magic Kingdom!

Wasn't the parade part of the "always 4th of july" on Main St premise? Which is why there would be a parade - every day? My girls love the parade...it's not meant to appease everybody, but it's nice for those who do enjoy it.

I enjoy the daytime parades and really hope they stay. It is another way to be connected to the WDW experience. I honestly don't think they need to change anything in them that often either. I believe the majority of the people that go to WDW only go on an annual basis at most. Have an annual theme and do it well.

We watch the daytime parade, my 5 year old loves it! She gets so excited to see all the characters and princesses. I have to say I get just as excited:sohappy: When I was younger and then into my early 20's, I would always skip the parade; I was on a fast paced plan and now I like to stop and "smell the roses":)

Absolutely....whether you watch it or not, it serves a purpose -- it manages the traffic flow of strollers from Fantasyland to Main Street to exit and was designed that way on purpose...

It will absolutely stay. It's not about the parade. It's about how Disney does crowd management and how it increases income in the shops on Main Street during the running-of-the-strollers....
