CBR is a beautiful resort. We have stayed there once and we enjoyed it but our room was way to far away from the main building where the food court was located, so it made it a little difficult with the children.

They have just redone some of the rooms to be themed in either Nemo or Pirates. You can go to allearsnet.com and look at pictures of the resort and read reviews about it as well. We had great bus service there and the food court was very nice. Like I said the only complaint was our room location. I would NOT book that area again. I believe it was Aruba, but I'm not sure.

I hope this helps. :)

We stayed there in May and I honestly loved it. We had a Grand Gathering, we had 3 rooms and a total of 9 people. All our rooms were right next to each other. We were in the Martinique building (I think ) We were within walking distance to everything, our rooms were very clean and I had no complaints. We didn't spend much time at the feature pool because it was usually crowded. There are pools at each individual village and we spent a lot of time there. At the most there was maybe 10 people there at any given time. The grounds are beautiful. The only frustrations I had were the buses, we were always the first on and first off but after all the stops it was SO crowded. We are going back in Sept/Oct and staying at the Poly, but I would definitely stay at CBR again.

It's been several years since I have stayed at CBR... It is a very beautiful resort and the rooms have just been redone... Food court is fine and pool is fun. Honestly, it is not my favorite moderate resort thou. CSR is much better... I just enjoy the atmosphere at CSR so much better!!! Let us know what you decide.

Yes stay there

our first time to stay on property was at the CBR and that was about 1 month after it opened. since then we have stayed everywhere except the camp grounds and AK and suffice to say the CBR is my absolute favorite place to stay. if you like the pirate theme then request a pirate room however it is in trinidad south and they are further from Port Royal. my favorite places are aruba and jamacia.

i love walking across the little island in the middle of the lake. so many memories..... and during certain hours there is a hammock area on the island and a kids play area ... i just love the feel of it. i love the cabana refreshment area too although i must admit that over the years disney has taken away some of its theming to make it more or less the same as the cabana areas of other resorts... and the pool area was redone last year and it is awesome.

if you are looking to economize then i would recommend the PopCentury and request the 50's or 60's area and BTW the POPs food court to me is the BEST of the resort food courts in disney as far as choices and taste as well.

so to wrap this up... YES stay at the Caribbean Beach it is the best resort on property and my second favorite is the POLY, of course it is very expensive, followed by the POP CENTURY

CB was the first resort I stayed in and I loved then and now. All of the resorts have their own pro's and con's. The CB is a beautiful, relaxing, and a quiet resort. It has that carribean feel with all of the bright colors, wonderful plants and gardens. The food in the old port royale, is the same as all the other places, there are resort specific items in the shops, etc. If you want to stay at CB stay there. No matter where your room is, at any resort, you are going to walk to a bus stop, walk to the dining facilities and sit on a bus from the park for a while unless you stay at the monorail resorts. People complain that you sit on the bus too long. What for 3-4 minutes longer b/c of the 7-8 stops. The resort is located in the center of the action. It is not a long ride from all parks and dd. The trade off you get with POP is that there are 5 million screaming kids and adults all over the place and I have and love kids, and unless you get a preferred room, there will be a hike to your room from the bus line. I suggest you stay at each resort at least once and get a taste for it yourself. Never listen to what everyone else has to say b/c your "Magical Experience" may be different from mine. I found that my "Carribean Beach Magical Experience" was just as wonderful this millionth time around to disney as was my first time.

I stayed in CBR a couple times. I love it. Its a much nicer presentation than the values. Everything is cleaner. Its very large so a good amount of walking might be involved. But i say give it a try.

I stayed at CBR in 2005 before they redid the rooms and I thought it was nice then, i'm sure it's even nicer now. If you've always wanted to stay there then you should, if you don't you'll always wonder if you should have. Either way you won't be dissapointed.

Husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon and enjoyed ourselves. We loved the food court. Since then both my brother in laws and families have stayed there and said they would go back in a heart beat. And that was this past March and two weeks ago....

Really i don't think you could go wrong with anywhere on property...Especially if you want to stay there!

I enjoyed my stays at CBR, as mentioned depending which area you are in you may be in for a bit of walking to Port Royale (where the food court is located), but I personally enjoyed the walk over there, even when we were quite a bit away .

personally, I'd rather stay at any of the other moderately-priced resorts (Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter and Coronado Springs) before the Caribbean Beach. Their themes are more to my liking. But hey, I'm not going, YOU are, and if you want to try it, go for it.

Why exactly are you asking? Are you trying to decide between different resorts? Is cost a factor or are you just focused on the things you want out of a resort?
