Grab a Soarin' FP right at park open and then ride right away! Ignore the posted 70-minute wait. If it took you five minutes to get from the gate to the Soarin' FP kiosks, how could they possibly have measured the wait yet?

Don't tell anybody though...

I've never experienced more than a 20-minute wait the very first thing in the morning and have often gotten in two rides stand-by before my FPs were valid.

People leave Animal Kingdom in droves when it rains. Buy a poncho and stick around.[/quote said:This is very true. I was at the Animal Kingdom on the 13th. The sun was out in the early morning then around 2pm, it got dark and started raining which was the time I arrived at the Animal Kingdom. EVERYONE was leaving. The park was basically empty. Let me tell you, I was worried about getting on the safari in the rain or even walking through the park in the rain because I was scared all the animals would not be out. Well, the safari was GREAT in the rain (NO WAIT), the majority of the animals were out on the land - more than I have seen at 8 or 9am or in sunny weather midday. The lions were at the top of the rock and my boyfriend got perfect shots of them. As for the rest of the park, it was SPECTACULAR - ALL of the animals were out - again, more than I have seen when it was sunny. Plus, it was EMHs so Expedition Everest, Nemo and the other attractions that were open were mines.
I've only done this once, but it's great if you can time it right. Try to ride Splash during Wishes. It's truly amazing.
We do the samething and it works on very busy nights.I don't know if this is considered a secret or a tip, but I think the option to pass through all the connected Main St. shops to get out of MK after the fireworks is still one of the best secrets around. It works especially well if it's just you and one other person with very key maneuvering skills lol. I swear it saves 15 minutes and gets you back on a bus or monorail much faster at the end of the night!
