Grab a Soarin' FP right at park open and then ride right away! Ignore the posted 70-minute wait. If it took you five minutes to get from the gate to the Soarin' FP kiosks, how could they possibly have measured the wait yet?

I've never experienced more than a 20-minute wait the very first thing in the morning and have often gotten in two rides stand-by before my FPs were valid.

Don't tell anybody though...

Ride Test Track early in the day before it BREAKS DOWN.

People leave Animal Kingdom in droves when it rains. Buy a poncho and stick around.

This is best advice, we did not know that when soarin first opened and we waited 3 hours, the next time we went I had read the same thing on here and we were prepared.:sohappy::sohappy:

I will say the same exact thing, but for Toy Story Mania. We were there in november, and I already had my plan for this ride and I haven't even been on it yet at the time. We got to DHS for park opening...first ones at the entrance. They escorted the crowd over to the ride so that no one ran (which is smart). We grabbed FP's, and hopped right in the stand-by line...basically walked on twice. We went back another day around 11am and FP's were GONE!! And the stand-by was 100 minutes!! Sorry but I will not waste my time standing in line all day. But the ride is amazinggg!!!:D

Well I know it says no dups, so I will elaborate on the one about not leaving AK when it rains. Ride Kilimanjaro Safaris when it rains! Everyone runs for cover but the drivers have to keep going around, even if empty! If you are lucky you can see the hippos walking on land, the rhinos running around and, best of all, the elephants playing in the water! The BEST time in my opinion (former safari driver, here).

This is very true. I was at the Animal Kingdom on the 13th. The sun was out in the early morning then around 2pm, it got dark and started raining which was the time I arrived at the Animal Kingdom. EVERYONE was leaving. The park was basically empty. Let me tell you, I was worried about getting on the safari in the rain or even walking through the park in the rain because I was scared all the animals would not be out. Well, the safari was GREAT in the rain (NO WAIT), the majority of the animals were out on the land - more than I have seen at 8 or 9am or in sunny weather midday. The lions were at the top of the rock and my boyfriend got perfect shots of them. As for the rest of the park, it was SPECTACULAR - ALL of the animals were out - again, more than I have seen when it was sunny. Plus, it was EMHs so Expedition Everest, Nemo and the other attractions that were open were mines.

I don't know if this is considered a secret or a tip, but I think the option to pass through all the connected Main St. shops to get out of MK after the fireworks is still one of the best secrets around. It works especially well if it's just you and one other person with very key maneuvering skills lol. I swear it saves 15 minutes and gets you back on a bus or monorail much faster at the end of the night!

We park at the Boardwalk and take the short walk to Epcots World Showcase (international gateway). It's so quick! And the best thing is at night you park your butt somewhere in France, UK, or Morocco for the fireworks and it's an amazingly easy, short walk back to the car... or Jelly Rolls:slurp:

This may still be a secret to anyone new to the DDP - you can use your snack option for lots of things in shops and bakeries etc - usually things under $4. There will (usually) be a snack sign on them, but if not then just ask. In resort shops you can get boxes of doughnuts etc for 1 snack!! nb - unless the price has been increased since Oct '07 (our last visit).

I love that the American Adventure building uses the opposite of forced perspective in order to make it look like it has less floors than it actually does. I also think it is cool that they went through several colors of white before choosing one that looked right in the Florida sunlight! I thought white was white:o

52 days until we are Orlando bound with 30 teens on a school bus for 930 miles of smiles:p
