Hi!

I'm soo excited to be able to tell friends of the birth of a baby and in this case....6 babies!!

I'm sure that you have all seen the news regarding the birth of the sextuplets in PA!! The Gosselins attend my church! We've been praying for beautiful, healthy babies and they arrived Monday, May 10 from 7:51 to 7:54 am!! This journey is just beginning, though. Soon I will be helping with the care of these beautiful gifts from God. If you would like to help please visit www.cbfc.net for more information and visit the Gosselin's web site at www.sixgosselins.com The Gosselins also have 3-year old twin girls!!

She got pregnant shortly after returning from a WDW trip last August!! I'm sure that future WDW trips will NEVER be the same again!!!

I can't wait for school to be over so that I can help out more (I teach my children at home & hope to be done by the end of May).

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Have a glorious day!!!

Oh please...before fertility drugs came around...there were TONS of people having 5, 6, 7, 12 kids....at a time...SHEESH ALREADY :lookaroun

:D

Why do I have the scene from "Monty Python and the Meaning of Life" going through my head when the mother (who can't use protection) is washing the dishes and the baby falls out of her...and the oldest daughter is drying the dishes and the mother says, "Would you get that for me deary..thanks"

Monty Python
LOL
thats the funniest scene in the movie. "good catholics"
anyways
fertility drugs enhance the chance (la la laa la im a poet) of multiple births. its not a garentee that you'll have dozzens of babies at the same time, but its more likely than someone who isnt taking a fertility drug at all

There were originally 7 babies, but her body "absorbed" one early in the pregnancy.

They were given the option of "select abortion". They couldn't imagine this (& neither could I). I'm sure that there would be many more multiples, but alas, I believe that "select abortion" played a factor.

God gives & he can take away (the 7th in this case).

Oh my goodness! I can't imagine having 8 children in only 2 pregnancies. It was hard enough having 1 child in each of my pregnancies! Wow.

I saw her 28.4 week picture. I'm surprised she was able to carry them for so long. What gestation did she deliver at?

Good news!

5 of the 6 babies are breathing on their own!

On Saturday our church had a picnic & Jon & the twins, Cara & Madelyn, were there. The Gosselins have been in touch with a family from Morgantown who had quintuplets about a year and a half to two years ago. (They also have a 3-yr old daughter, I think). They have been in touch (the mom from Morgantown actually contacted the Gosselins!!) to give some support, advice, and get a wild idea in what to expect in a few years. The dad brought all the children to the picnic!! (He also brought along the nanny (& her family) who helped care for the children their first year. It was really an eye-opener, especially when I went to help the dad take the kids to the car. I went to hold two of the children's hands to cross the parking lot & I gasped!! "Wait! Between you & your wife you only have 4 hands!! How do you keep track of 6 children?" He smiled & said, "They have a wonderful big sister!"

These children were such a joy to have there and the one little girl, Rachel, I think, didn't even hesitate to sit on my lap in the grass.

I could tell that Jon had been spending a lot of time with them, because when he left he gave each of the children a kiss on the head & called them by name.

Please pray for Cara & Madelyn. They seem alienated for obvious reasons.

Thanks for your prayers!
