Hi, Nibbs!! How was your trip?
Hi Betty! Are you guys sweltering down there, too? I thought New England was done with 90 degree temps!!
Yeah - we're heading to break the record (89) today.....Fortunately I didn't put away all the summer clothes yet....

Smart move! I, unfortunately, did pack up the kids' summer stuff. So yesterday I was rumaging though a huge bin trying to find them shorts. :hammer:
Lesson learned: next year, wait a little longer!! :D

I always pack some of the summer stuff in a suitcase for our February FL trip rather than putting them all away, so I've just been pulling the stuff out of there since it's just in my closet at the moment.

((HUGS)) for Dana and Miss Maggie.
She's been through it all and still isn't finished.
I'd talk to the doctor and see if they have any hints for helping her adjust. I'm sure they're used to the questions. It might be just a matter of Maggie getting used to it, though. A tough one for both of you.

Got to run.
Dana - maybe if you let her wear it with her favorite clothes to bed instead of jammies? Good luck with it sweetie!

A 504 plan is similar to an IEP, but gives more flexibility as I understand it. With the advent of the No Child Left Behind, Schools have been pretty much forced to make accomodations for any academic weakness a student displays. I would insist that your daughter be mainstreamed, but allowed to work with a tutor or an aide. 4th grade is a whole new ballgame for a lot of kids - the expectations are much greater, and kids who may be less academically "mature" often have difficulties then.

IEP also sounds familiar. Maybe that was the program Corey was in. The teacher is going to put her in turtoring after school which is fine with me. The 4th grade has been tough on all 3 of my girls. The older 2 struggled with it but came out of it great. I am worried about my youngest now. They all had/have the same 4th grade teacher and she is great. I have no complaints with this teacher, just the system.:zipit:

Maybe she needs time to get used to it. Good luck. Little ones don't understand being uncomfortable.
