Hey Steph...my mom wants to know the names of photographers that you're thinking about. She might know them...you are getting married in Nebraska, right? (Or am I loosing it?)Cool, thanks!! And thanks to Nibb's mommy!
Oh. Well, now there's a good idea.
Zoink :hammer:
Yup, in Omaha. We've got it narrowed down to:Hey Steph...my mom wants to know the names of photographers that you're thinking about. She might know them...you are getting married in Nebraska, right? (Or am I loosing it?)
Yup, in Omaha. We've got it narrowed down to:
Andera Bibeault (www.andreabibeault.com)
or
A Better Exposure (www.abetterexposure.com)
If they're not available, we have 2 others that would be ok too.
ok...here's what my mom says about choosing. Find out if they're members of PPA--this takes care of if something, god forbid, should happen, how many years they've been in business. Right now...that's all she's got...but these are the important things that you need to find out.Yup, in Omaha. We've got it narrowed down to:

oh...also, my mom and I looked at Andrea, haven't looked at the other, but with Andrea, I didn't see anything with parents shots. There are a few things, but nothing that's specificly involving parents. If this isn't a big deal to you, that's fine, but it's something to watch if it is.ok...here's what my mom says about choosing. You know how much I love cake. :slurp: :king:oh...also, my mom and I looked at Andrea, haven't looked at the other, but with Andrea, I didn't see anything with parents shots. Otherwise Andrea does some amazing photoj stuff. But, as we say, photoj stuff is the icing, do you want cake too? (that's traditional)
my mom says a true professional doesn't need a list. They automatically know what to do. Automatically know what pictures should be important. Yes, you should still talk with the photographer, to make sure they're on the same page, but a person who knows what they're doing doesn't need a list. (That's why it's funny when we get those lists from places like The Knot people have downloaded...and they'll mark things like cutting the cake or picture with my mom...we know that stuff already. )My mom says she'll get you a couple names to think about. Just so you have something else to kind of look at.You know how much I love cake. :slurp: :king:
Yeah, I know what you mean. We definately want some traditional "staged" pics with the families/bridal party, etc. But for the most part we like the "candid", more natural shots. With both, they say that when you meet with them you can create a list of the different shots that you definately want.
Yeah, DF likes the second one better too. And it's the one on the museum's "preferred vendors" list.My mom thinks the second was better than the first.
The big thing my mom says also, is while you might not think you want it...you will regret not having photos with your family and such, posed shots like that. Something more traditional. Photo J is pretty. It's what I do...but people rarely buy what I do and always buy what my mom does with traditional. It's just a fact.
Don't get me wrong, I love photo J though. Half of my album is photo J. But the other half is traditional.
Yay! That'd be great! Thanks, Nibbs :kiss:my mom says a true professional doesn't need a list. They automatically know what to do. Automatically know what pictures should be important. (Know, I'm not trying to diss you...but this is the most important day of your life...and you want the best pictures that you can get... It's b/c I care about you that I'm doing this! )

ok...good. I didn't want you to think I was being pushy or anything. :lol:Yay! That'd be great! Thanks, Nibbs
Nope, not at all. :kiss:ok...good. I didn't want you to think I was being pushy or anything.
ok...well my mom's got an e-mail out to some lady in Nebraska, so I'll let you know as soon as she lets me! :kiss:Nope, not at all.
Yay! Fun stuff!Hello.
Just wanted to check in, and say hi.
I have NO idea of how much I'll be around the next couple of days: My aunt is arriving in a few hours to stay until Tuesday; we're having a b-day party for my gramma on Saturday; we'll have about 40 people running around this place, so it'll be crazy; my uncle, my other aunt, and my cousin will be staying overnight on Saturday night; my sister is having my niece's 3rd b-day party on Sunday, I'm still undecided of whether or not I will be attending. Needless to say, I am going to be busy!
Hope you all have a great rest of the week, and I'll talk to you all ASAP.
