This looks REALLY good!

Wow. That does look great. And the onboard audio really makes it.

However, the boy-man in the train who kept yelling as if he was having some sort of spiritual or unfortunate physiological experience in the back row by himself was a complete buzz kill. It is people like him who make visiting Disneyland unpleasant for nearly everyone forced to be around him.

That's probably part of the reason why he has never experienced those types of emotions with another human being, but instead can only experience them on a roller coaster at a theme park.

Other than that idiot, Disneyland has another huge hit on its hands! This coupled with the rest of Season Of The Force creates a huge draw for the park.

*sigh*

The Darth Vader and Chewie meet and greets could have been cool, I guess. I mean, how could you screw it up? Just have a tall guy dressed as Chewie making the sounds. But he looks weirdly off-model? I mean, this is Disney. They can't make the suit look like the actual one from the movie? Looks like they've turned Darth Vader into a silly version of himself that sounds nothing like James Earl Jones. Certainly not the way I would have done it. Seems cheap, kinda crappy and disturbingly lame.

Hyperspace Mountain looks like it's fun, but that's Space Mountain regardless. Seems there's not much in the way of new decor in the queue line, which is disappointing. I also find that pretty disturbing. Like they figured they could just shoehorn Star Wars projections and music into it and people would eat it up.

Ehhh....

You're the only one to comment poorly on everything. I've literally seen nothing, but overwhelmingly positive reviews on these temporary additions. Does ANYTHING at Disney excite you? Or are you that dreaded annual passholder in guest services every evening nitpicking something?

The Disney Parks Blog has a nice write up with pictures and video of the Season Of The Force celebration.

I'm surprised at how tempting the new menu items at the Galactic Grill (Tomorrowland Terrace) look.

And how awesome is this BB-8 sipper?

I've never been fond of the trend toward IP driven attractions and celebrations at the parks, and I know the reliance on SW violates Walt's original vision for TL, but I can't help but be excited by the care given to the execution of this promotion and how it tells a story in new and clever ways. The future for SW Land looks very promising.

It could be viewed like that. I see it as a valid observation followed by a fair question (the first one anyway).

I was able to experience all but Launch Bay. I liked Hyperspace Mountain, really enjoyed the new Star Tours . Path of the Jedi could have been better organized. I feel this could have been a good intro for anyone who is unfamiliar with Star Wars , but the footage was disjointed so it could be hard to follow.

A Star Wars fan is not automatically a Disneyland fan or vice Versa. There are plenty of people who could be unfamiliar with the stories.

It's just a montage of clips, right? Is it at least in 3D?

They tried to bounce around the different episodes, using dialogue as narration to tie it together and then it ends with the Episode VII trailer. No 3-D, but some in theatre effects we've experienced before.

Bottom line is that after experiencing Hyperspace Mountain at least once, I won't have any reason to step foot in Tomorrowland, unless the crowd controllers wave me into there with miniature lightsabers during Paint the Night.
