Thanks, but it's not a competition :wave: Unis early issues are something I was interested in a while back. The Totally Fun Company I believe is the company that originally designed Kongfrontation. Uni sued and had to swallow a lot of pride, not to mention income and bad publicity, in deciding the original design was beyond saving. Not as much as Ride and Show Engineerings Jaws design but it didn't help things back in 90-91.

My understanding on the Angler Fish is that it hasn't been broken for extended periods of time, but during any given day it can break.

I guess Im just not very lucky then. It worked the first time we rode the first summer it was built. It hasnt worked on any ride since that first time. On a typical trip we will be in Epcot at least 4 to 5 times on different days and we ride it every time and nothing. Oh well hopefully my son on his 3rd trip will get to see it this summer. :lol:

Or rather Universal sued the third parties who installed Konfrontation, Earthquake and Jaws and heavily modified / rebuilt them at great cost.

Point being, they did it. They could have "Yeti'd" it, but didn't.

Oh absolutely. I dare say Jaws and Kong were "un-Yeti-able" but they took the hard, long and expensive route and it was more than worth it in the long run.
