scrapbook challenge 24-31 aug

the theme: park icons

requirements: use one LARGE picture and a strip of smaller pictures as well. you know like a filmstrip.

also: there needs to be a title to the page.

Hi everyone! I'm new here - but I want to do your challenges. I am also very new to scrapbooking. I've never done a filmstrip on a page before and also don't normally do page titles, so this is a good exercise for me! Can't wait to see what everyone does.

So I finally decided to tackle one of the challenges and apparently I don't know how to follow the rules!! I swear I meant to :lookaroun, but the strip turned out to be, umm... very unstrip like! I planned to use horizontal pictures but didn't have any, and the vertical photos did not want to cooperate. I do like how it turned out though. 2 out of 3 isn't too bad, right?!

That's wonderful, hollybelle! And it's very close to what I had in mind. Your three smaller pictures on the left side are tilted, but are still very striplike. :lol:

I'm so glad that someone decided to do this week's challenge. Otherwise I would have felt bad that no one wanted to do my challenge. I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually. I didn't finish my book like I had planned, I got sidetracked with other stuff. :lookaroun

Thank you. From what I can tell, the most difficult challenge of these challenges is quite possibly just to FINISH!!

Good luck finishing your book before MNSSHP! I get easily sidetracked, as well. Right now I have quite a few half finished pages waiting on me to get back to them. I'll find that there's a photo I still need to take before it's complete. We'll be in the world 9/24-9/28 and I've already got a list of pictures I need to take so that I can finish all these pages I've already started!

Looks great Hollybelle!! And we have never been strict enforcers of the rules. We go by pirate rules!!:lol:

I really like that page though!
